Since I am not a fan of either team. I would love to see 7 games down to the last pitch.

Well Boston came back from their 3-1 deficit and won the league championship. But as hot as Colorado has been they had better not let them get that kind of lead on them in the series.

Moikie, Zeus Bless Ye--
I'm not a basa-baru fan normally----BUTT---I will say that was exciting last night! I am not alone in considering Bahstin one of the greatest sports cities in America, if not the Woild----BUTT (#2)-----veteran Sox fans cannot be holding out too much hope, re the World Series----at least not the ones with any sense of history.....
It might be relevant to note that 7 minutes and 34 seconds after the last out---there were ALREADY seven arrests OUTSIDE Fenway! OUTSIDE the pahk! Yikes!!!

You gotta stop living in the past! And just how many World Series have the Rockies won? Hmmm?
Yes, Boston is a great sports town...no doubt about it. Wish I were there hanging out in the bars while the game was on... what fun!

Mike,
How many series had the Red Sox won when they played their first one? I am a Cardinal fan, but they stunk up the whole baseball world this year after being world champs last year. Never underestimate the power of youth and momentum. If I were betting I would most likely bet on the Red Sox, but I don't think it is a sure thing by any means.

The Red Sox of today remind me (sort of) of the 2004 Red Sox. Kind of a rag-tag team. The BIG plays are coming from the rookies. But the veterans are holding them togther. And Josh Bekett? OMG.
I have not watched the Rockies, so I have no idea.

When you are playing in your "first series", that automatically means you have never won or lost a series.
Ron, The Red Sox won the first 5 out of seven world series ever played when you were middle aged in the early 1900's.
They also just recently won in 2004 while you were asleep.
Colorado will have a lot of "rust" after waiting around.
Red Sox in 6 games.

Warren,
Next to the Yankees, who has won the most World Series? And it doesn't start with a B.
However as I stated before if I were going to bet on the series I would probably bet on the Lucky Sox.

Well, they made short work of the series. The only time I like to see that happen is when my home team is playing, and that has been a long time, OAKLAND!

New England Sports:
STORRS, Conn. (Oct. 28, 2007) -
UConn football fans stormed Rentschler Field following the Huskies' 22-15 win over then-No. 11 USF on Saturday night
The UConn football team (7-1, 3-0 BIG EAST) earned its first ever national ranking on Sunday when it checked it at No. 16 in the AP Poll and No. 20 in the USA Today Coaches’ Poll. Officially joining the then-Division I-A ranks in 2002, UConn needed five years and 10 weeks to crack the AP Poll, making the Huskies the second-fastest team to ever do so.
Boston Globe
And so on the day the Patriots officially moved halfway to perfection and the Boston College footballers enjoyed another 24 hours as the No. 2 team in the nation, the Red Sox won their seventh World Series in franchise history. How do New England parents explain to children there was a time when local sports fans endured failure and collapse and actually waited for a rare championship season to unfold?
In October of 2007, the streets of Boston are paved with gold and this week those streets will be packed with the legions of Red Sox Nation, saluting the World Champion Boston Red Sox. Again.
Next, the Boston Celtics

And WHOSE fault was that? Stupid NL rules regarding the DH. Sure, might make for interesting games inside the NL, but not against the AL with high paid veterans at DH.

Boring???? Are you crazy? Great series cuz the Red Sox won. Well, two of the games were blowouts but the other two were really close and a lot of great defensive plays by both teams.
Oh, wait a minute. Art lives in Joisey, so it might not have been boring if the Yankees had won? Or maybe the Mets? Barf. I'm getting sick. Get me a bag.

Warren,
The Red Sox are my favorite team right behind the Cardinals, Yankees, White Sox, Mets, Chicago Cubs, and Dodgers.

Quote from Red Sox GM Theo Epstein:
