Default Home Depot Kiddie Projects

I finally took my son to the Home Depot Kid's workshop and it was a great experience. Best of all, it is free! It is held on the 1st Sat. of the month. We made a Depot nascar this month. Planter box next month.

I highly recommend it. If you are like me, you are there on a Sat. anyway!

Lowes has something similar as well.

Just wanted to share.

Thanks for the tip.

Sounds like something a grandfather could do as well.

I hear Home Depot has become quite the place to pick up chicks! Really! Babes in tool belts do me in every time (just tool belts).

Your kids won't read this so I'll rant.
Both HD and Lowe's suck, especially with copying, AKA stealing. They will take American made products and have their subsidiary factories in china copy them to the point of not infringing copyright. I'm sure you have seen them under a 'new' name, tools, electrical supplies and on and on. I make an extra effort to patronize local electrical, plumbing and other U.S. made supply houses.

Perry,

Though I agree with you, around here it is almost impossible to get everything you need made in America. Even some of our electrical supply places now buy their stuff in bulk from these people and put their names on it, but if you dig far enough into the stuff, you will find Made In China stamped on it.
Clothing is the same. I looked all over for a pair of shoes that were made in the U.S. Finally I found a place that had a sign that their stuff was all made in the U. S. by U. S. Companies. After paying three times what they should have cost for a pair of shoes, after I got home and was looking them over, I found a very small tag, Made In Taiwan. So it isn't that many of us don't want to support our country and the businesses here, but when there is none to buy form it is rather difficult to do. Even the small local hardware stores have 90% of their stuff that is made in another country.

Ron
