Well they certainly got their moneys worth at Fontana. They showed the darn commercials all day until 11 PM and then again Monday when they ran the races.

I watched the race at Las Vegas yesterday and thought it was pretty good. Still a few things to get straightened out on the new cars but that is normal. Like making sure Jeff Gordon's radiator stays on the car. All in all so far I like the new car better than those others as I feel there is better racing and they don't fly apart every time they brush the wall. I still feel the word STOCK should be dropped from the series though.

Ron, I look at the word stock in the same manner as Gasoline Alley and Carburetor Day at Indy, just part of the heritage.

Other than leaving the S for stock in NASCAR, I do not recall NASCAR actively promoting the word. Identification of the racing series by changing NASCAR would be challenging.

Don,

You are right, but I just get tired of their mouth pieces who keep referring to the race as a stock car race. Why not change it to Specialty car or something.
