Thats rich, Bill.
Not too many years ago, my buddy built and got his beautiful early flamed Nova 'vert on the cover of Car Craft. It wore classic Keystones. He was thinking of getting rubber band wheels/tires for it, which, to me, just seemed wrong. But to each his own.
On the other hand, he was critical of another guy who added a Continental kit and skirts to his '55 Chevy hardtop. While I'm not particularly a Continental/skirt fan, that's how a lot of them used to look around here.
Hey, might as well add a huge rear full-width mudflap, to the severely lowered rear end, a coon tail to the antenna and ...some dingle-berries to the rear window, eh? Complete with an oversized black western hat and Hank Williams Sr. singing Yo' cheatin' Heart on the radio. "Hey, good lookin' ...whatcha got cookin' " next up. I'm old enough to appreciate the nostalgia factor in such a case.
