Meningiomas Brain Tumors
Good Morning..
It has been a while since I have been on CC. I have a CRII roadster in my garage just collecting dust due to a lack of interest. Not that I don't have interest in my car but it seems that I just have lack interest into anything. This past Wednesday I had an MRI at a local hospital and they found out why. I have an 8CM brain tumor on the left side frontal lobe of my brain. Needless to say it must come out. Does anyone know anyone that has had this done or maybe you have had it done yourself???

OFM,
I don't personally know of any one or know anything about it but I must say "that sucks". I hope everything comes out ok for you and that you recover quickly.
My thoughts and wishes for you to get better.

Michael, Although not the same, I had my wake up call sometime back. You should be able to find out all you want to know through your doctors, or on the net.
Including you in my prayers for a successful recovery.

Thanks guys.. your appreciation is greatly appreciated by me and my family. Hopefully everything will go really well in surgery. If not there will be a very well running CRII going up for sale cheap.. hehe.

Hey Michael, your going to be OK. I googled it, and its a benign thing. Does not spread. Seems that large ones are easy to remove (unless intertwined with brain tissue). Don't put a for sale sign on the CRII.

Michael,
I haven't had anything quite like that but I have had more than my share
of other medical situations that were corrected with surgery or radiation.
So far all is well and life is good. Do your research then find the best
doctor you can and go for it. I'll be praying for your speedy recovery.

The number one thing you can do to help yourself is to be positive. You're going to whip this thing and get on with your life. I know, easier said than done, but you can do it.
My wife's stepfather has convinced himself that he's going to die before Christmas. After seeing him yesterday I believe he may very well make it. And it's only because he has talked himself into it.

Onefast,
I work with patients who have had the operation. It sounds like you have symptoms of apathy commonly associated with this location of tumor. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. There are meds that can help if it continues after the surgery. The prognosis is good...

Hahaha.. Sorry guys and gals.. been really busy.. I go in Monday at 6:30am to John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek Ca to get the silly thing out. I am looking forward to it. I have been on drugs since last Friday and they alone make me realize what I have become. ;>)

Dudes and dudettes..
For those wondering my outcome... It is an A+.... My tumor was 100% benign and my surgery was with awesome outcomes. With all the hell that has been in my family lately with 3 cancer scares it is a great relief. I just had my cranium rebuilt in a second surgery this past friday and am now recovering from that. I can't wait til I can drive again.. woohoo.
