Yeah, cause you wouldn't want a leader who cant speak in front of crowds without a teleprompter now would you? The guy in the White House has to be able to speak in coherent sentences.

Oh - wait - who did you guys vote for President for the last two Presidential elections?

Seriously - you guys have no leg to stand on spouting this crap if you voted for Bush.
The fact that none of you are actually going after the issues really makes me think that you either don't understand them, or that your candidate does not offer viable solutions. So which is it?

Steve

Pssst.......

psssst.....(whispering) um, george bush isnt running, move on:LOL::LOL:

427 S/O 08-22-2008 02:33 PM

Steve, explain why 'O'NO! refused to debate McCain in various town hall meetings?, McCain wanted to debate those very issues you speak of!, also, please list 'O'NO!'s accomplishments as a senator?. I'm listening...................

427 S/O 08-22-2008 03:24 PM

Come to think of it...you and Ernie conveniently disappeared the last time I ask those questions?. So, here's a guy campaigning to lead the free world and he's afraid to debate?. What's the deal?. This appeaser is also afraid to face Bill O'reilly of all people??. Do you really want to see someone in the White House that has no courage?.

This guy preached 'change' but quickly decided 'appeasement' was much better.

I'm still listening...........

VRM 08-23-2008 12:03 PM

Perry,
The question could also be asked why McCain did not agree to Obamas debate proposal. Why aren't you asking that question?
http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2...-debate-deals/

This is nothing new - campaigns these days spend all kinds of time figuring out how to set up a debate format to give their candidate the edge. Obamas guys have to same right to do what McCains people are doing.

Steve

Well at least with O'bama you get a different opinion every day depending on the latest poll.
And how many times did O'bama skip a key vote so as not to committ

Steve, that completely bogus and you know it, McCain was the first to propose town hall debates and 'O'NO!'s staff made it a point to stall with excuse after excuse. Man, your spinning is lame.........

427 S/O 08-23-2008 02:32 PM

Of course you picked a newspaper that kisses 'O'NO!'s a$$. Well, your learning from the best at spinning.......

Smokingcobra2 08-24-2008 09:09 AM

Steve- isn't it strange O'bama on the Time Magazine cover EIGHT TIMES McCain once-and people (liberals) continue to say our news industry is not biased- McCain with all those blunders and it would be big news- like his mixed house count that became head line news for a couple nights, but if O screws up you only here it on Fox or talk radio.
THE Messiah my butt- another Chicago/Mayor Daly life long politicain who has never held a real job.

Did you do your reading? Obama agreed to the proposal, but wanted them to be longer and less structured. As I said - this is how campaigns negotiate this sort of thing. I would have hoped that you would have figured this out by now.

Steve

Simply...'O'NO! will not put himself in a position of answering HARD questions, and don't quote me anything from the NYT or 'O'NO!'s handlers. Give me a verifiable quote from McCain.

427 S/O 08-24-2008 12:06 PM

Here ya go Steve, in 'O'NO!'s own words.............

http://www.politico.com/blogs/jonath...own_halls.html

.........yeah!, he's running out the clock. Some of us recognize that and some don't...

VRM 08-25-2008 09:54 AM

Here is basically the same info from what you would consider a credible source:

http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/08...bate-schedule/

The last paragraph says:

"McCain wanted to challenge Obama in several Lincoln-Douglas-style debates but the Obama camp countered with other ideas and no resolution could be reached. Obama’s campaign has said these standard meetings will likely be the only ones."

So the ball is back in McCains court.

McCain wants a small forum where he feels that he would have an advantage over Obama. Obama wants a larger forum where he can play the crowd to his advantage.

As I said before, both campaigns will try to arrange to give their candidate the advantage. McCain will not go into a situation where Obama has a distinct advantage, and Obama won't go into one where McCain has the advantage.
You seem to think that Obama should give up his advantage, but that McCain does not have to do the same...sounds like you are not confident enough in the ability of your candidate to stand up against Obama where Obama might have an advantage.

Look...it's simple. Obama can't have a teleprompter at a town hall venue. Without a hand up his ass to move his lips...he's nuthin.

O-CNN reported this morning that as of last Friday (after Biden was announced...where's the bump?), they are dead even in the polls. What happened to Obama's big-assed/eared lead? What happen to his man-of-the-world junket bump?

Basically what happened is this. The press ignored McCain while fat ass and big ears battled it out in the primaries. When they finally started covering McCain again and folks heard what he had to say...they rediscovered just how gawddamn cute and cuddily he is.

Glad to be of help, Steve. :p

Well, that shouldn't bother you one little bit since you voted for Bush.:LOL::LOL:

427 S/O 08-25-2008 11:16 AM

Advantage?. why would the number of people make any difference?. It doesn't!. There would be an equal number of dems. and rep. asking questions. Your really desperate for some kind of come back, and you don't mind if there ludcrious points that make no sense?. Which they are!.
'O'NO! cannot handle pressure so his handlers script his every move. More and more folks see this and that's one of many reasons his ratings have been in a steady decline since the primaries. Delete 'change', add 'appeasement' and you have another reason most folks see where he's headed (down). Your weak Steve...very weak.
