You hit the nail right on the head. The mud slinging is truly "kinder" than it was 25 years ago, but there will still be tons of it thrown. I think that a lot of undecided voters will watch the debates to get a view of the positive sides of the candidates as compared to the negative spin on most ads.

Just remember - vote often.

I just got home and fox news reported McCain beat Miss Sarah and 'O'NO! as far as viewers, 38. something million. It's really sad with better than 300 million in the good old USA........

Dinobyte 09-06-2008 01:15 AM

Obama votes over 130 times "PRESENT" in the Illinois Legislature....

How does that make you feel Ernie?

What Legislation has he proposed? Answer: NONE

As for his resume prior to his illustrious career as a politician.....(cricket sounds)......(more cricket sounds).....oh sorry, he was a lawyer organizing people in the Chicago machine...and I might be wrong, but I don't think he ever won a case in court.

427 S/O 09-06-2008 05:37 AM

Dino, forget about getting an answer from ernie and vrm when you refer to 'O'NO!'s past. They hide, ignore, change the subject or quote some no name lieutenant on his staff. I don't recall a more lose-lose ticket than O-B, fueled only by a silver tongue and the other who can't end a sentence.

Just wondering, as I would expect more from someone who was going to represent me.

Is it me, or is this campaign for the Dems more symbolic change rather than substance? I mean, who cares if Obama is AA? Who really cares...

If the left really cared, they would have celebrated Clarence Thomas. If the left really cared, they would have celebrate Colin Powell. If the left really cared, they would have celebrated Condy Rice.

I believe it truly shows, now that the Republicans have a woman on the ticket, that the LEFT is not about social change, but rather is all about MONEY and POWER. They WANT IT>>>>BAD>>>>THEY COULD CARE LESS ABOUT MINORITIES, WOMEN, SICK CHILDREN, BUSINESS, THE ENVIRONMENT OR ANIMAL RIGHTS.

WAKE UP ALL YOU SHEEPLE WHO THINK THE DEMS LOVE YOU...THEY DON'T.

I am not about to engage in a political discussion on THIS forum where the majority of McC supporters run rampant and bully and dump on anyone that does not share their view. I don't "represent" any candidate, I have an open mind and am considering ALL the possibilities. If the support for McC I have seen HERE is representative of the general population that supports him, the country is in deep doo doo! We really need man who can look past the BS and make an intelligent decision without being unduly influenced by 'radicals'. Obama may just be that man.

Now if your butt hole is all scrunched up because I just dumped on your parade, post some more baised opinions about the candidate you want to support so you feel better. DON'T bring me into your little McBugger fest! Read Jamo's thread again, please!

Totally Agree Ernie...Can't we all just get along? :D

No foul language, no use of #$%^ symbols...just civilized discourse.

I just don't like making my meager salary, then having to go door to door to every wellfare house, or mid-night basketball drop out 19 year old, or to every crack head who can't support them selves and give them 50% of my check. I feel so violated...what's my incentive to try to do better when all the government will do is take more of it away and redistribute it to the un-needy lazy basturds who don't have to take a drug test to recieve federal funding, but I do to work for the money they recieve. :JEKYLHYDE

Jamo 09-06-2008 05:08 PM

Yup...Ernie's correctly expressed my concerns.

Fred
:LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL:
Please keep that information quiet. If that gets out, I'm afraid that Turtle and the Ho sisters will vote for Obama.

I think that mentality is true for a lot of really left-wing liberals. Bigger gov't, bigger spending, the welfare nanny state. The Republicans over the last 10 years have been pulled too far in that direction and the Federal spending has skyrocketed. I really hope that when McCain gets elected that he can put a stop on runaway federal projects and wasteful earmarks.

What is really needed is the ability to do a line-item veto.

Of course, if Obama was to promise (in writing, of course) that when my SS checks start, that the amount would triple, I might have to switch parties. My vote can be bought, but not for some measly amount. :p

Hey did any of you all see the CNN report the other night about McCains life story and then about Barry'O's life story?

It pointed out a great deal about McCain's family and life experiences...Wow! I was impressed...What a Man he really is!

Now with regards to BarryO's life, bright guy, appears intelligent, supports only black issues and cares mostly about stars shooting out of his ass and how high he can go.
He is the ultimate "empty Suit" and has a lot of people fooled. He is kinda like a Ken doll of the day...he's so cute and says nice things and every kid wants one.

Best Regards, Bill

I'm Still waiting for Excaliber to explain to us O's- Accomplishments- Not a personal attack, just would like an honest answer of what O' has done. I don't love McCain and actually had planned on voting for O' until i realized he MUST RAISE MY TAx's to fund all his programs. Even if McCain is another Bush- we at least know where he stands on many issue's.
