Hey, McCain ain't so bad after all!

But it is true, I do have my head so far up McCains butt that I can see nothing else. BUt(t), the view's not bad when considering the alternative!

Excaliber, you really do owe some folks an apology here... that was a bit over the top (coming from someone who knows "over the top" and apologies).

Win some friends. Lets drink some Coke. Sing a song, in perfect harmony...

Mike (who thinks Sarah is HOT)

Ernie...something to calm your nerves, my firend. :p

I bet she could kick the French President's wife's ass...a little oil wrestling match would be nice.

One thing, Ernie...just like McCain suggested tonight. When it's all said and done...we're all Americans. Even Hawaiians sort of.

Ron61 09-05-2008 03:57 AM

:)

Ernie,

I know that you like Obama and he comes from Hawaii. But really what has he done the years he has been in the Senate except vote present on about 90% of the bills. I like Sara and really don't know that much about her, but would vote for her over 99% of the politicians we now have in office.

See, no nasty name calling or anything and I just asked a simple question about Obama. To be quite truthful, he scares me far more than McCain. But that is just my personal opinion and everyone is entitled to theirs.

Ron :)

I think McCain is the lesser of two evils. Too bad that most campaigns are just a mud slinging match. The crap and putdowns scares most of the really good people away from running for office.

My best pick for President already said NO. That would be Colin Powell.

SPF2245 09-05-2008 06:12 AM

Warren, this would be the winning ticket in getting us out of Iraq and off the list of every terror group for the next 8 years.

Warren, you have a point. If it was Powell or rice on the other side, it would be a very civil campaign with two very good resumes. It's just a shame millions of good folks have been taken in by a superb orator with much self-admiration, and no credentials.

Well, you should not be attacked for your views. But neither should you return the favor. I know, pot calling the kettle black... but when this election is over, then what? And, if you feel that I attacked you in any way, I am sorry for that.

Ya gotta admit that Palin is HOT.

Hey! did you guys see Obama on O' Rielly"s show last night? Obama finally admitted that the "Surge suck ceded"...but wouldn't admit that he (Obama) was wrong when he didn't support it.

Poor little Obama just can't be honest!!!!

Bill

I'm sorry but every time I see a picture of the O's ears I think of Alfred E neuman "what me worry"??

427 S/O 09-05-2008 07:01 AM

Not to change the subject but, I was really impressed watching Cindy's bio last night. Talk about giving!, she's the poster child.

4RE KLR 09-05-2008 07:02 AM

I have to admit I do not like Obama. I just don't trust anyone being the Commander in Chief that will not put his hand over his heart and say the pledge of allegiance, among many other things. I just don't trust him.

I simply cannot believe ANY American anywhere in this country would support such a gross act of misconduct. Yep, that is my opinion, and I am not attacking anyone, in particular. It is my opinion. I do still have the right as an American, to have and speak my opinion, right?

I will also admit I was worried that McCain would be like four more years of Bushism. I personally cannot stand four more years of the same ole, same ole. Yea I voted for Bush (X2) and I am sure God himself will punish me for that, when it is time.

However, After listening to Palin and then McCain speak I feel much better about the situation. Not because Palin is nice looking, but because I think she alone could do a better job than Obama could. So, if heaven forbid, something did happen to McCain while he is in office I am no longer concerned Palin can kick some political ass and get the job done.

And I'll bet that just chaps Hillary's ass to no end that there is a chance that she will not be the first Women American President.

4RE KLR 09-05-2008 07:04 AM

Oh and BTW, I would vote for Colin Powel and Stormin Norman in a HEARTBEAT!

Fred, we all know your vote could be bought for a quarter. Why else would your closest friends be two-bit ho's.

PS - You're right about smokin' hot! And she really can deliver a great speech, just like Obama, Pres Kennedy and Hitler, just to name a few. But the best speaker does not always make the best President.

VRM 09-05-2008 07:53 AM

I think Palin is the best thing about either ticket. Still, she is not perfect. She did support that bridge to nowhere before she was against it.

I do think she would be a better President than any of the other 3 people on the ticket. I was actually impressed that she did not repeat the McCain lie about taxes; her comments about Obamas tax plans were technically accurate, though she used them in a context that fits with the GOP mantra of Obama wanting to raise taxes for everyone. That tells me that she has a more integrity than McCain, but is not above political spin.

I also have to comment on how the GOP has lied, and this time it was straight from McCain during his speech. I am really sick of both parties making up crap to smear the other side with, and I find it an interesting commentary on the (lack of) personal integrity that many of you have by repeating those false claims. If your side cannot win without lying about what the other side says, then your side either does not understand the issues, or it has no solution to the problem.

Steve

Art you need to look at the cover of this months Mad Magazine. It has Obama E Newman on it.

Jim Werth 09-05-2008 12:10 PM

Just a few months ago how many people here were all complaining that McCain was way too liberal and they wanted someone else.
