Leaves me out, I voted last Friday after standing in line for three hours with some fine, upstanding, honorable, holding a job, responsible, intelligent conservatives.

I stood in line for 10 minutes, and was out of the office in 5 minutes. The doors opened at 7am, but cars were pulling in, and filling the lot as I left.

I just walked into my polling place, voted and got back in my car, all within about a 4 minute time frame. I am truly amazed that many places around this country have such a poor grasp of how to run an election.
Then again, about a third of the voting public doesn't have a clue about anything political and make up their mind while they are looking at the ballot.
Gee, I think I'll vote for this candidate because his last name has the same amount of letters as my last name.
Sad, but true.
So, who voted for Ralph Nadar?

What I find strange is that more people don't go the absentee ballot route, avoiding lines and having to vote a specific day.....plus sitting around the living room thinking about the various choices seems like at good thing to do.
With that said, if one is in a part of the country that cannot seem to handle stuff on voting day - in other words, it's like a freeway at rush hour all day long - sane people would only go though that one time and vote absentee the next and each time.
As for the Nadar vote - probably VRM or Cobrabill, they may have changed from Ron Paul at the last minutes, or BO, "knowing" that Nadar has a better chance of winning this year. I'll bet those two also have had some good stock tips over time, like Enron.....

WOW...there REALLY is a ballot entry in MA for the decriminalization of 1 oz of pot????????????? (sorry if I am being naive here and believing y'all!!!) If they had that here on the ballot in Austin, I think it would pass with a landslide...rofl!

Yep. If it passes, and the legislature approves it, the police would still "stop" a pot smoker. But if they only had 1 oz or less, they would be released with just a fine of $100.
I think its a slippery slope for progression to harder dope. We have just too many drug users and they account for a large % of all robberies to feed their habit.
