Who would you vote for today?

If the election was held today, who would you vote for? Lets see how the CC poll stacks up against others!

SPF2245 09-09-2008 07:38 PM

First!!! It's the simple things...;)
I'd have to vote for McCain and hope I don't get a "hanging-chad"

SPF2245 09-09-2008 08:18 PM

Ex, I bet there is enough "O" voters hiding in the shadows to make this a bit closer then many here would guess. But I just got this from the Communist News Network:
"In the Electoral College standings, the most recent survey shows 243 electoral votes either safely in Obama's column or leaning his way. At this point, McCain can claim only 189." But..
"In national surveys, McCain leads by 2 points, 47 percent to 45 percent, according to CNN's poll of polls released Monday night."

It's gonna be a fun finish with lots of screaming on both sides...and from the occasional cave in Afghanistan.

why isn't Nader listed?

The most recent poll I've seen has Obama 47% and McCluster Bugger's at 46%.

Ernie,

Not that polls mean much, but it looks like you picked one of the few polls that still lists Obama as ahead. Most of the other polls have McCain ahead from 1 to 10 points.

To be clear, polls don't mean much and can be very misleading. And this election will probably go down to the wire. But, it's amusing to see your reference to the one poll that still has Obama ahead. Not so sure you are "fair and balanced" on this topic.;)

See attached link for an overview and average of the recent polls.

No wonder Ernie is so confused about this election....he is getting his misinformation from NBC.

jams 09-10-2008 07:46 AM

How about voting Obama and with the hopes of change in the way of an assination? Just thinking outside the box.

wtm442 09-10-2008 07:53 AM

I never trust any political poll. Why? Because every time I am asked to participate in a poll, I always lie!

So whatever you do ... do NOT forget to vote.

427 S/O 09-10-2008 08:08 AM

McCain, I trust him, and do as warren says...VOTE.

4RE KLR 09-10-2008 09:53 AM

I really think, this is why Obama wants to take ALL Americans guns away from us. So he will not get assassinated. He is so stupid that he thinks the criminals will walk right in to the police station and hand in their guns.

What a joke.

I do think Biden could do a better job than Osama, (Oops, I mean Obama). But I would still vote for McCain first.

Folks it is real simple:
Our National Defense is counting on this election.

McCluster Bugger and CLEARLY his supporters here are engaging in such a negative campaign they cannot be trusted to run the country. You can put lip stick on a pig, but McCains political machine is still a pig when the smoke clears.

Why Obama? See my signature line.

Ex, you crack me up. Like the Obamanation isn't "carpet Bombing" McCain/Palin?? This is politics.

4RE KLR 09-10-2008 11:11 AM

Obama is a waste of skin!

cobra de capell 09-10-2008 11:23 AM

Sounds like the democrap talking points - nice job!

Empty suits eventually collapse under the weight of gravity, there is nothing holding them up but momentum and energy, once that is gone...pffft...to the floor..

What do you get when you teach an idiot how to read a Tele-Prompter?

A “useful idiot!”

KeithBrown 09-10-2008 01:19 PM

Ex,

I am a Presbyterian. Pretty mainline traditional religion. We are nicknamed the "frozen chosen: mainly because we, in general are not as emotional as some of the other protestant branches. Having said that, I also live in the South -(have for all but two years in Yankee land) and travel the world several times per year. I have been exposed to most of the major religions and find them all very interesting.

I also have a lot of friends who come from different beliefs, including those who speak in tongues (Pentecostal). While I personally don't, that doesn't mean that those who do are wrong. For a supposed liberal, what is it with the continual carping/badmouthing about those who believe? It is ok to ask questions, doubt, whatver, that is your call, but I wouldn't be so afraid of Palins religion until you actually know a few.

427 S/O 09-10-2008 01:20 PM

ernie rejects this as carpet bomb with negative stories, distortions, and smears. Unless, of course, 'O'NO! was in the picture.

Ernie,

I too agree that the last thing I want is someone whom I consider too radical and has possible ethical questions. But, from my viewpoint, I look at Obama and Biden (aka: plagiarism) as the radicals.

So there you have it, we both agree on th epremise, but we come to two completely different conclusions as to whom fits the bill. Oh well, that politics.:MECOOL:

What was the question again?

There is a persistent smear campaign against Obama that typically includes out right LIES going on right here in the Lounge, right now!

In the 'real world' outside of Club Cobra it is similiar. McCluster Bugger supporters are engaging in an increasingly negative campaign against Obama and avoiding the issues. Why? Because McC offers no real change ON the issues! He is 'Bush Jr.'. His VP scares the crap out of me because of her deeply held, radical, 'speaking in tongues' religious affiliation. Now thats not a smear on Palin or an overstatement, it is a FACT. Some may like her that way and support the ticket because they share similiar religious views. I do not.

You may want to look up that last statement in SNOPES. You have been misled by the Dems again. It seems that you are now perpetuating exactly what you accused the McCain camp of doing.
