Obama's "Lipstick on a pig" remark
Does anyone really believe that the BO was not referring to Palin?
Even if he meant no offense, his word choice was certainly unfortunate. Can you see him going head to head with Ahmadinejihad and slipping up that way? I think it points to lack of experience, more than anything else, and we cannot trust someone who chooses his words so poorly with the presidency. He is such a HUGE loser. |
Yes, McCain is 'looser' in that he's not as uptight about practically everything as your messiah BO appears to be - a great quality in a POTUS.
Here's your lipstick boy.....I'm thinking he's jumped the shark.... |
'O'NO! can't keep his mouth shut, he's desperate now that his numbers are - so look for more of the same.
|
Over on politico......
Obama knocks press on 'made-up controversy' Speaking at a high school in Norfolk, Obama took a few moments to address what he calls "the made-up controversy" of the day, Amie Parnes reports. Obama said the McCain campaign moved to "seize an innocent remark and take it out of context because they knew it's catnip for the news media." "See, it would be funny, but the news media decided that would be the lead story yesterday. This happens every election cycle. Every four years, this is what we do. This is what they want to spend two of the last 55 days talking about...Enough!" he said. Obama called the attacks "lies, outrage and swift boat politics." "These are serious times and they call for a serious debate...spare me all the phony outrage. Spare me all the phony talk about change," he said. UPDATE: McCain spokesman Brian Rogers responds: “Barack Obama can’t campaign with schoolyard insults and then try to claim outrage at the tone of the campaign. His talk of new politics is as empty as his campaign trail promises, and his record of bucking his party and reaching across the aisle simply doesn’t exist.” _____ The press is starting to turn on this punk. |

Bush chooses his words worse than any public figure in recent memory, and yet I suspect you voted for him twice. So which standard do you want to use? Or do you just like acting like a drama queen about Obama? Seriously - this is also a non-issue. It is a commonly used phrase, and it is all the more appropriate since Palin brought up lipstick and pitbulls. Steve |
That he did, about a policy not a person.
I don't see a signature line, but try using "I ain't running nothin' but my mouth" |

Since there is no logic to your BO choice, all I can come up with that the brain dead will possibly understand... The latest Gallup Poll Daily tracking update finds John McCain continuing to lead Barack Obama, 48% to 43% among registered voters. WOOHOO! |
Ernie, if you'll quit reading those far left lying web sites
--------------------------------------- Thank goodness my hillbilly brothers know the right way........ Rasmussen: More than half of Georgia voters already view Obama ‘unfavorably’. Rasmussen: McCain surges to double digits in Montana. Gallup Daily: McCain 48%, Obama 43% |
'ernie's objective'
Change subject when ask to answer hard questions...... Twist answers to avoid replying to hard questions..... Walk away from computer when I don't have answer to hard question......... Work harder to pump post count...... |
.....but, the truth will set you free.
BO is right, putting lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig.... http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e9...ckPigObama.gif |
EXCALIBER if a conservative made that comment it would have been all overliberal news. YOU GUYS started the PC movement and now when o screws up its OK.
YOU CANT have it both ways!! joeg |

I'm only defending Obama in this instance because your attack is hypocritical and irrelevant to the problems this country has. There are plenty of positions on legitimate issues that Obama has taken that should be attacked, and the same goes for McCain. You and others on this forum whine like 4 year olds about how Obama called your friend a name, and then you engage in the same type of vapid hyperbole that you accuse others of. Steve |
The Dems are guaranteed to win now! Everyone is griping about Palin being a born again christian and Bidden goes out and heals the lame! I thought Obama was the new Messiah but it seems it's Biden! He demanded a man in a wheelchair to "Stand Up" !! ......Oh wait he didn't stand up. I bet it made him feel real good about himself too! And that's all that matters isn't it?/ That we "feel good" about ourselves?
|
Gotta agree with CDC on this one. I've heard that phrase all of my life...it's old. But Obama's timing was calculated given Palin's remark at the convention.
Seems to me that the left gets all teary-eyed when the press finally takes some digs at their long-time spotlighted favorite. Me thinks we're starting to see Obama follow the same path as Gore and Kerry before him...he's starting to fall apart now that folks are starting to really listen to what he has been saying. He's gotten a pass from the press for a long time...now that it's down to the wire, reality has set in. He's going down...it's over. End of story. Next? |
Wavy statement vrm (as usual), give specifics on positions..............
|
Steve, Ron Paul just turned his supporters loose to vote for any of four independents. Which one you choosing?
|
Vapid Hyperbole? Get 0ut the dictionaries!
Go ahead and vote for Ron Paul. All that is is a "non vote" and will not effect anyone. Anyone that votes for B. Hussein Obama should just open up your pockets and let the Dems put their collective hands in them. Pelosi and Obama make a pretty lopsided administration. Forget about balance of power. What Obama wants, The democratic legislative branch will pass. You all realize that the dems are going to allow the inheritance tax laws to expire in 2010. That means that when your parents pass on, you will be heavily taxed on your inheritance. They also will legislate out the home sale exemption. Get out your checkbooks and start signing your name. We need balance in the government. B.O. ain't the answer! And, the new darling of the media is Governor Palin. Even Hillary's supporters say "hands off" to the press on Palin. Doesn't hurt that she's hot too boot! |
Jamo,
I'm sticking with the man himself. Perry - wavy??? WTF does that mean? I have given specifics on positions. You have all chickened out on debating them. Joeg, Obama was nailed to the quite a bit over the Rev Wright mess. But the job was not finished because the MSM (and the public that was paying attention) lost interest when the sensationalism was over. That is a legitimate issue, and something to be concerned about. A tongue-in-cheek rebuttal of questionable taste is not, especially when McCain is outright lying about Obamas position on taxes. Where is your outrage over that? I have no plans to vote for a dishonest candidate - do you? Steve |
Honesty...politicians? An inconsequential consideration.
It's all about the ears. |
How about this latest class act statement that just occurred :
September 10, 2008 Categories: Veep S.C. Dem chair: Palin primary qualification is she hasn't had an abortion South Carolina Democratic chairwoman Carol Fowler sharply attacked Sarah Palin today, saying John McCain had chosen a running mate " whose primary qualification seems to be that she hasn’t had an abortion.” Palin is an opponent of abortion rights and gave birth to her fifth child, Trig, earlier this year after finding out during her pregnancy that the baby had Down syndrome. |
