I missed the funeral but, I sent a letter approving it.

Well it looks as if CW has scared everyone away from this thread, proving Ernie's point that some change is a good thing.

You all need buttered popcorn.

I know the doc said do not eat the buttered popcorn, but it taste better.

Don't be afraid to add your favorite cola while you're at it.

Who wants extra butter?

McCain lovers want some so they can (fill in your punch line here).
Probably some sexist remark about Palin.

Obama lovers want some so they will not (fill in your punch line here).
If you cannot think of one, just listen to Hannity on Fox.

Warren,

You need another truck for that picture. Say one about twice the size that also serves drinks.

Another quote that has nothing what so ever to do with this thread. I just enjoy mixing them in to break up the normal snipping.

Ron

In truth and fact, it's the absence of any cogent information that has done that. And Excal's dearth of replies with any trace of substance haven't helped.

In other words, why bother?

turnpike boy,

If you will look at my post you will see the laughing faces. That means it was posted as a joke, not as a statement of fact. I realize a lot of people don't use the smileys or pay any attention to them, but if I had been serious it would have no laughing faces for smiles just as this post doesn't.

Thumbs up OK, Ron..

It's Monday all around the place here today .

No counterpoint meant in quoting yours...just a lack of humor at that hour on my part. I understood your intent, but was just sour enough to blab what I felt. No smilies in my post, either .

Ahh, WTH. It's Monday, and the second cup of coffee is finally starting to hit the vascular highway.

Yea, dear old Monday. Believe me I know the feeling of having to get up and go to work on Monday. There are some advantages to being old, retired, and dumb. Just ask Warren.

Lightbulb Mmmm, indeed...

I'm well identified with two of those elements - just haven't retired yet. I'm guessing you and Warren only beat me to the feets-up stage...but not on the others

The Post Turtle
While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75 year old rancher, whose
hand was caught in the gate while working cattle, the doctor struck
up a conversation with the old man. Eventually the topic got around
to Obama and his bid to be our president.

The old rancher said, “Well, ya know, Obama is a ‘Post Turtle’”.
Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a ‘post
turtle’ was. The old rancher said, “When you're driving down a
country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced
on top, that's a ‘post turtle”.

The old rancher saw the puzzled look on the doctor's face so he
continued to explain.

“You know he didn't get up there by himself, he doesn't belong up
there, and he doesn't know what to do while he's up there, and you
just wonder what kind of dumb ass put him up there to begin with”.

J.T. TOAD,

Jefferson, Franklin, Paine, Hancock, and a whole handful of others. Weren't these men considered radical thinkers? A simple yes, or no would do. Then you can have my answer.
