OK I'll say it..........
Miss Sarah was great last night, that was the same Sarah we saw at her introduction. I especially liked when she said, 'we all need to be more responsible', something you'll never hear from a 'regular' politician.
I like Biden, not for his politics, but for himself. He's someone I would really like to have beer with, if he drinks?. Just a good guy, even if he is a dem..... |
great guy? i dunno, i would rather see him go hunting with cheney. :D
|
She did well all things considered, if memorizing talking points she did well, if you are talking about answering the specific questions she did everything but, and her answer about expanding the powers of the vice president, that's was scary! as if Cheney hasn't shredded the constitution enough, now we have Palin aspiring to broaden the powers of the office!
|
Yup...agreed, Perry, Biden's one of the good guys despite his politics. And watching him last night as he watched her...he thinks she's adorable too, so how bad can he be?
She came through last night...damn good job for what she was facing. |
So...you mean she did a good job considering she knows nothing about our country, knows nothing about what is going on in the world, is clueless on our economy, jobs, etc..etc..etc..but is good at regurgitating info?
Ok...I'll buy that. |
I guess if your a community organizer that makes you qualified for president.
I was a Capt of the Volunteer fire dept in my town, i guess im qualified also. Obama who did NOTHING in both ILLINOIS and Federal governemnt to change ANYTHING is now going to CHANGE the way politics is done- I DOUBT IT! HE NEVER EVER went against his party on anything- WAKE UP AMERICA or we will be the next SOCIALIST country to fall. joeg |

Obama...McCain...all the same. Try a different route for once. |
I think that both Biden and Palin did very well. And the moderator did a good job too.
Methinks that many people put too much worth to the post of VP. Its really not a very powerful job. They get to be one of many advisers to the President. They also get to vote on a bill in the Senate only when there is a tie. No big deal on any bill that only has 50% support. You need to vote for the President. He will be the captain of the ship. And that's the way it should be. Regarding "qualified to be President", actually NOBODY is qualified to be top dog. A President always learn on the job. Therefore, I want the person that will do the least amount of damage, has the most "training" for the job of President, and that person is .... http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/c...emccainjy4.gif |
Repost on ''O'NO!
He knows nothing about the military He knows nothing about economics He knows nothing about health care He knows nothing about taxes He knows nothing about business He never held a job where he was required to produce, and be accountable. He knows nothing about the current financial mess I doubt he knows much about being a 'community organizer' I'll publicly retract if, someone post his resume that contradicts my post.. __________________ |

Now you can retract whatever you were going to retract. Obama is definitely qualified to be President. He is a naturalized citizen (although there was some arguments on this) and he is over 35 years old. If you do not believe me, just ask Tony Rezco (convicted felon), William Ayers (member of a group that bombed the Pentagon 40 years ago), Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. (the most racist preacher ever), Emil Jones Jr. (blocked ethics reform in Illinois and gave his wife a 60% raise when he became Illinois senate president), Rashid Khalidi (who has called Israel a racist state bent on creating an apartheid system), and The Rev. Michael Pfleger. I could go on with tons of other fine outstanding individuals that are close friends with Obama, but my fingers are getting tired. http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/c...ollarobama.jpghttp://i216.photobucket.com/albums/c.../allsizzle.jpg http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/c.../Obamamine.jpg http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/c...owdyDoodat.jpg |
I honestly don't understand why 'O'NO! is even in the race?. no supporter can point to 'one' single accomplishment that would even remotely qualify him for POTUS, nothing!.
He was hand held, guided and promised he would be a senator, to this day he has not answered his affiliations with questionable folks and organizations. I simply don't understand all the hoopla over 'O'NO!?. I guess some people want a black man to be POTUS so much, they'll take anyone who says yes!. That's the problem!. I'll bet most folks would have no problem with a black man that's not perfect but, has some accomplishments and character. |

Maybe you people should start trying to tell us why McCain deserves to be President more than why Obama shouldn't. That path doesn't seem to be going to good for you these days. |

Obama talks a good game, but he is the most liberal senator we have. What is the one word definition of ultra left liberalism .... socialism. |
Nevermind, try reading post #9 as to why no 'O'NO!.......Oh! nevermind..........

As for the tax question and supposed smaller government, when the hell are you people going to wake up? Bush claimed the same thing and increased the size of the government by huge amounts. And unless we have a tax fairy that is going to magically reduce our taxes, all that ever happens is instead of paying with the left hand, you pay with the right. |

I watched the debate on Thursday and I have to say how can any half-intellegent person support Palin for the Vice-Presidency. She is a complete air-head. McCain has made a mistake in choosing her as running partner.
On the other hand, the next few years are likely to be some of the toughest ecomomically for the US (and the rest of the world) in the last few decades. There is going to be a change in "standard of living" and people won't be happy about it. I wonder if the Republicans are handing this term to the Democrats so they don't get covered with **** in the fallout. They should win quite handily next time. FWIW Andrew |

Last time I looked, New Brunswick was not part of the USA. Therefore, you cannot vote. I suggest you try to clean up problems in Canada. Calling Palin an airhead is not nice. She is a refreshing difference compared to the class-warfare that is currently being spread by elitist Dumbocrates. Sadly, the socialist Obama is currently leading the conservative McCain. I just wish that Obama would campaign against McCain. Instead, he is always looking backwards and blaming everything on Pres Bush. I really had to laugh at an Obama ad I saw on TV regarding health care. It was full of generalities, but the one thing that really was remarkable was the statement that he would demand that the health insurance companies would lower the costs. I can see it now ... the US President on hands and knees asking HMO's to PLEASE lower your rates ... PLEASE ... you know its the patriotic thing to do! What a crock of $hit. And you have the nerve to call Palin an airhead ... :p:p |
With all due respect, when did national boundaries ever prevent the US government from stating it's views.
All I'm doing is stating an opinion. On a board that may be based on a server that resides in the US but advertises as the world's largest non-biased cobra site. As a medium the internet is certainly global. Please don't tell me that I cannot make comment here. It's clear to all that she is entirely unsuited to office. The cynical amongst us would suggest a desperate ploy to entice female and rural voters to the Republican camp. The recent Michigan withdrawl confirms the tide is swinging towards Obama and certainly the McCain camp have begun to circle the wagons. Palin has become a liability now. Andrew |
