Feelings of Dread and General Malaise

I think it is (IMHO) this election is over. Obama will prevail. I would love to be proven wrong, and I will still vote (while holding my nose). My feeling of dread is not like Alec Baldwins. I have no desire to move to Europe (or wherever). I love America. My dread has to do with the direction this country will take. Sure, there has been a lot of bad twists and turns over the last 8 years, and Bush is no TRUE conservative. But with a dyed in the wool socialist at the helm of power, this is going to be a sad day for America. Sure, the libs do not see it that way, anymore than they did when the Clinton Admin ordered Fannie and Freddie to offer (guarrentee) home loans for poor people. Back then, they applauded the "progressive" nature of the new process. It took many years (10) for the chickens to come home to roost (and crap all over everything). But I think given the instability in our country today, these chickens will come home much faster. In a sense, that is good since the politician who did it will be there to reap his just rewards (punishment). I think this country is on its final approach to implosion... just like the USSR. Ours just took a while longer. It took the Russians almost 16 years to find their footing again. It will be the same here.

Good news is, that Conservatism should experience a rebirth. Reagan, if you can hear me, send us a political savior.

They ( liberal news ) are!, 'O'NO! is on tape and video proclaiming he will spread the wealth!!!. Al lthey hear is --tax cut and Bush stinks. We are screwed. What has obama done ever to go against his pary and not raise tax's nothing. All they see is CHANGE and thats it.
Ask a liberal what o has done and they have no answer, all u get is BUSH stinks. Face it, you cant fight the liberal press when ALL of them want Obama

And another thing, his passed assocations are still being revealed, the latest is Frank Marshall Davis. Identified as a member of the Communist Party USA by several sources, including some sources sympatheitic to him. Obama and Davis met in Hawaii, at a time when a young Obama was in need of a black role model and mentor. What a mentor!!.

I'm a life long Republican. After Bush, a Democrap in disguise, the GOP had/has no chance. So once again McCain volunteered to take one for the team. I'd imagine the GOP thought Hillary would be the one, but no matter. After 4 years of Democrap fiscal insanity, the Republicans can get back in. Newt, you relaxing and ready? We will need a Republican House and Senate too, to straighten out the chaos the Obamination will leave.

Maybe I'm a diehard optimist. I just can't give up on McCain.

I'm counting on some to wake up to the fact that O is a Socialist. and I'm banking on a 5-6 % Bradley Effect.

how about that Obama might not even be a natural born citizen. The lawsuit that was dismissed in PA., O asked for a dismissal before discovery. And get this it was a life long democrat that filed the lawsuit. O is hiding a lot of things. All he had to do was present the court with a certified birth certificate and it would have been thrown out and none of the other suits would have had merit. This is becoming very scary with the sub-inteligent members of the democrats leading the way in the house and senate.

Bill Clinton went into office under much the same cloud... and that cloud followed him for all of his terms. This will not stop Obama. What I would like to know is if he is trully found to be a not born in the USA, will they remove him? Yeah, I doubt it. Once he is pres, he will invoke all kinds of executive priv to stay clear of this mess. Oh, and watch how folks start to suddenly die mysteriously.

Politics is about perception. The country is a mess; Bush and the GOP Congress screwed up their portion of things, and the DNC has their own level of responsibility. The problem is that the GOP will bear the brunt for all of it because the perception is that because they were the last ones there that they screwed up the whole thing. Reality is irrelevant - all they want is something different than what they have now. Obama will deliver on that - but it will remain to be seen whether it takes 4, 8, or more years for people to realise that the change he offers is not quite what they wanted.

Get out of your chair .... and vote! Of course, if you were registered by an ACORN rep, vote early and vote often!

If the vote is close, you are going to see a ton of lawsuits that will make the hanging chad mess in Florida look like a bake sale.

Do you guys think that if they find out that Obama in not a natural born citizen after he gets elected that they will throw him and biden out on their arses, and then if McCain is the next highest vote getter that he would be put in? I am not sure if that is how it would work or whether Biden would then be Pres.

I just saw a post on another forum a link to a you-tube video that has Obama calling for people to take the day off from work in order to vote. And I thought why would anyone need a whole day to vote, and then your post answered my question. They'll need a whole day in order to drive around to all of the districts they've registered in.

Hopefully, McCain will win and then we do not have to look at 4 years of creeping Obama style socialism of despair.
