Just Six More Days
Wow, just six more days and the election is here. Then 12 months of fighting over whether Florida got their votes counted correctly. I am really tired of this campaign and think they should limit them to 6 months. I voted two weeks ago so I can complain ahead of those that wait until the 4th.
But I really do think they have just drug this campaign out far to long. Some of the inane stuff that they are coming up with now just to get on the news is completely ridiculous in my humble and uneducated opinion.
Not posting this to start any arguments as I just feel relief that this mess is about to come to an end, though I fear what will follow.
I see the locals are up in arms about our Congressman Wally Herger. In 30+ years in Congress he has actually had one bill passed and that was to aid him and some friends. And his wealth went from $5 million 5 years ago to over $30 million now. No one votes for him and now they are claiming that he buys his way in by having his wealthy friends control the vote count, but that is kind of hard to believe as I don't think any of them trust each other enough to get involved in something like that. The present claim is that the voters don't know what the actual count as as only a few have access to it so they can announce whomever they want as the winner. This I don't want to believe, but after all these years of only seeing the few wealthy around here that vote for him I wonder.
