Small banks rule.......
In the middle of this financial mess I thought it would be a good idea to ask my small bank if they were exposed to any potential problems. They assured me they were in excellent condition, and to make sure I checked an online rating site which said the same thing. I kinda knew they were ok, they approved my first construction loan even though I had no experience, then they carried the loan for two more years, on my request to wait for a more favorable interest rate. There is definitely a plus banking with folks who know you by your first name.
