Toyota reports loss!
Toyota reported their first loss in decades.
Wonder if they want to take a number in the "Bairout" rine?

Dan,
I read where all of Japan is really having problems and that Toyota had closed some factories and was thinking about some lay offs. China's economy is also starting to drag on them. Not sure how accurate the reports that I read are, but it sounds bad for everywhere.

The Chinese economy has been red hot for years based on exports to North America. With the recession here, demand for many Chinese products has dropped or totally dried up. I recently saw a program showing how the owners of many Chinese businesses are converting evrything possible into cash, not paying anyone unless they absolutely have to, then pulling a midnight move. They basically leave their indebted business behind, employees high and dry, and their suppliers holding worthless receivables. The report said that as many as 100,000 manufacturing plants in China would close this year.

Not surprised Wayne, The last company I worked for had all their factories in Mex. and China. To make matters worst, all their products were tied to the home building industry.
A double whammy.

Well I guess that blows the argument of some on here that say the reason the B3 have lost money is because they build a bad product unlike the Japanese.
