Free speech.....war comming....
Not only does 'O'NO! not have a clue on how to stimulate the economy, he is now revealing how stupid he really is. No need to sweat the republicans, Americans will bring him to his knees.

Huh? No, this just proves how stupid the nutback religious conservative loons are becoming.
Our country wants moderation. Nobody really cares what the crybabies on the far right or far left want anymore. You lost. Get over it. |
And stop watching fox noise, this just proves how desperate the wing nuts are!
|
Neat!
We'll fund outfits that'll perform abortions in Kenya and Uzbekistan and Indonesia (where abortion will get all involved put to death) - but won't spend a dime on school renovation because they have some religion involved somewhere in their curriculum?
You're right, nevermind. We've lost. Doubtless you're aware that includes you, too. |
I own CB and nevermind, I can bring em' outada' the woodwork and makem' bark!. Just like old boo.

Yup, I can see how this thread has great potential.
I am all out of popcorn right now...you all wait until I get some before you start. |

Is it true that OB's nominee vetting committee is Rob Emanuel, Shemp, Larry, and Moe?

Yes, we lost, and he promised change. It is already becoming obvious that the "CHANGE" means that fouled up, deceitful Government of the People by the "Special Interests," is worse and will continue to degenerate. Some change. Dan |
Would moderation mean that only ONE of the towers would be dropped next time?
Or does moderation mean that i can cap only one of his knees during the perp's interview? It's so difficult to understand the new reality. For instance, why are pacifists and other self-professed middle-of-the-roaders so angry all the time? No wonder communism fails for them, with that kind of intemperance. i used to think it was buyer's remorse, but perhaps it is a more deeply seated and yet perceived but un-verbalized intellectual shortfall. Being taught all the wrong lessons from revisionist history studies and erroneous sociological pseudo-science must make it hard to comprehend the need for and how to be happy or display a simple sense of personal self-control or respect for other's views. And every day i really want them to be finally happy, honest. Who are they going to hate, now? It is frequently only a short disappointment from irrational blinded love to deep-seated hate. Maybe it is from not quite enough coolaid? Maybe it is just a byproduct of the late winter blues? Somebody help me understand. |

Which, by the way, is exactly what this article is about. Another special interest group whining because they didn't get anything. |

It seems to me that from reading many of the political posts on here, many people hate America so much they want this stimulus bill to fail. Millions of people have lost their jobs, but hey! as long as Obama fails, it is all worth it. This is just as pathetic as listening to the far left rant for the last 4 years about Iraq and wanting Bush to fail. It is one thing to disagree, but another to wish failure. |

My guess is you believe that you will be getting some of this money. |
We all thought that Jimmy Carter was bad, but the next 4 years will show that things really could get worse.

That's the part that gets me. Most outsiders (like myself) find American patriotism inspiring, regardless of whether we are in agreement over any particular political issue or not. Many times we hear the line that if we loved our country as much as the Americans do theirs, we would become stronger and more progressive. The expected post-election united we stand/divided we fall American solidarity seems to be increasingly displaced by a destructive partisan back-biting mentality that smacks of the typical Middle Eastern sectarian infighting and appears to place party and political idealogy above country. Hatred for Obama seems stronger than love of America and those who shout the loudest about being patriots appear to be praying for the nation to suffer and fall just so they can revel in his failure and find comfort in the vindication of their party-line dogma and rhetoric. No doubt, if McAin't and Sarah Failin' (wink!) had been chosen by the majority, non-patriots of another stripe would be doing the same bloody thing. The US soldier blasting the Iraqi police in the other thread lambasted them for being more loyal to their sectarian affiliations than to their own country - Maybe when he's done over there, he can come home and take his show on the road for the benefit of the once proud and patriotic American people who stood before the world as a shining example of the gritty, work together, can-do stuff that made a nation great. |
Buzz,
Sadly you are correct on most of your points. I don't like Obama, but I want him to succeed as the country is in desperate need and I don't care what party anyone belongs to if they can help get things straightened out. To many radicals on every side and not enough logical thinking. I don't care who gets the credit, I would just like to see things start to get better and if Obama can do this then I will be happy. But reading the stimulus package that even the Democrats can't seem to agree on who gets the most out of, I don't think it is a long term answer for the major problems our country faces. There are so many empty commercial buildings here now from companies that have gone bankrupt the city is having trouble trying to pick one to renovate for a new police station. Unemployment is the highest I have seen it here in our county and getting worse every day as there are stores and businesses closing weekly. Ron :( |
I fail to see what the problem is.
It is not just Christians that will feel the pinch - no money will be spent for Hare Krishnas, Jews, Satanists, and so on. None of them should receive any funds or support from the government. Too may people still do not understand the Constitution. Those religions will still have the freedom of speech - but nothing in the Constitution says that they have to be provided with a pulpit. Do any of you Christian types want to pay extra taxes to fund a meeting place for Satanists? Steve |
