Not for me. I like to be able to pull to the side of the road if I have any problems.

It looks very nice.
However, it also looks to be a water based plane. There are no tires for a runway and it does not appear to have a rotor of any sort.

That is one very interesting concept! If you look beyond the pictures on the home page, you will see that it is designed for both land based operation with fixed gear or combination water/land with a hull and retractable gear.

Retractable landing gear an option, and base price at $139k. It was on tv last night, and the company is sold out for 4 years already.......i2f

I hate being blind.
I noticed the running gear on my second visit.

hmmmm... sold out for four years?!?! let's hope they do better than the sagas of Epic Aircraft, Berkut, Legend, Glassair, Bede, and the like.
150K is a lot of coin for something which probably wouldn't beat driving.

A glitzty version of the Republic SeaBee, but without the character and charm.
Anyone got a photo of above?

Thanks J.T.,
In the 60's flew a Skyhawk and a couple of Luscombes on floats, but always fancied flying that SeaBee. Look for them in air museums when I travel, but there doesn't seem be be too many of them around.
