Paul Harvey.....RIP
Not a loyal listener, but I remember catching him one day while driving and this quote has stuck with me.
It was the late 70's or early 80's and he was commenting on gas prices, which were in the $0.60-$0.70 range at that time.....
He said....Folks, you will soon pay a $1.00 and you will pump you own gas!.
I thought to myself, this guy is stupid..........

Perry,
I thought to myself, this guy is stupid..........
I always went out at noon and listened to him and he was anything but stupid. Any news that he reported was verified several ways before he would report it. Not like the people today that call themselves reporters and make the news up to fit their viewpoint. Myself, I feel we have lost the last real reporter this country will ever see.

One of things that sticks with me from childhood is listening to Paul on WCCC in HTFD..12 noon...glued to the radio.Getting "antsy"during the commercial break just before he told you "the rest of the story".

He was on top of his game, just the way I want to go out.
