Taxes or torture...?

As April 15th nears I have been wondering the differences between taxes and torture.

We all are forced to contribute our wealth and labor for countless policies and programs that are disagreeable to all in some way or another. Is the threat of losing your home any different than losing a fingernail or two?

Would you submit to water boarding as in the link below in lieu of paying taxes?
