Gawd I LOVE it, CdC.......
.......I'd love to join in, but I'm just a "freeloader", after all.
Although..........I'm thinking that the corollary (Sp?) of pretended cobra ownership is a faux DoD214 form, eh? Maybe 1Y was (someone's) ticket out of that arduous experience of laboring for our mutual Uncle.........

Obama is throwing out everything at once, so we (the citizens) must concern ourselves with everything at once - do you understand that?
Also - if you can get off of your high horse for a few seconds, perhaps you can explain why the picture of your Cobra in your Gallery appears to be a 5 1/2 Model of a Cobra. Your bud Cobra (space cadet) Bill states that he's building a Cobra - now I'm thinking that it's also a 5 1/2 inch Model.
In addition, do you really believe that anyone here requires or needs your 'thinking' on military issues?
Yes, please feel free to reply to me on these two issues.

Jamo requested that we stay away from each other, and your own prior post indicated you would prefer that so I'm not sure exactly what your problem is.
Still, you made a reasonable effort to be civil so I will take a crack at answering your questions, and I am going to try and keep it civil as well in an effort to not get us both booted.
I don't see why your response on this thread mentions my thinking on military issues - this thread is about the brownshirts and the national civilian corps - I think you might be confusing this with another thread.
No, I have never served in any of the armed forces. I considered the Navy (I get ornery if I am away from an ocean for too long), as I have a lot of family who were Navy - but I have a problem with authority. I do not automatically respect somebody because they say I should. There was also no pressing need when I was that age. I am not anti-military at all, but I do think that the military is the last resort to solving a problem. I prefer to keep our military strong and efficient, and with great benefits for vets. If you did screw up and think that I was responding to the thread about Vets paying for their own health care, from what I know of it I do not like it. I will respond in the appropriate thread when and if I decide to.
Yes, that is a model in my gallery - good eye - you are only about an inch off in size (and that is real honest to goodness lacquer on it - don't tell the EPA!). I've said before that it is a very tight fit. It is a replica - just like the car you have, only with a LOT less horsepower and legroom . I am not really interested in full size replicas - my interest lies only with the original cars. If I had the means CSX3016 would be in my driveway, right next to CSX2287, restored to '66 Sebring and '64 LeMans trim respectively. I'd also have an FIA, but I do not know which one (probably one of the Radford Racing cars). I'm sure your car is a great ride, and I hope you have fun with it, but to me it is just not a Cobra. I also have an interest in classic Ferraris, but they are even more out of my price range. I could maybe afford a Modena (Cal Spyder - like in Ferris Bueller) or definitely a Kirkham FIA, but I am just not there yet. In the meantime, my 'Vette is fun as well, and is 'The Real McCoy'. Though in keeping with the trend of naming sportscars after snakes I may have to rename it Rattlesnake (more for the noise that 'things' make).
As for me posting - I could really care less whether you want to read it or not. My opinion is just that, as is yours. A number of people have already marked your posts as ignored - you are free at any time to do the same to me. You can also just 'change channels' any time you want. If I see an idea I do not agree with I will challenge it. I also find hypocrisy especially amusing and distasteful - I get a laugh almost daily at the expense of those 'small government conservatives' who voted twice for the biggest increase in government in the history of this country. If you don't like it then you can either go away, or lobby the mods to ban any contradictory thought.
BTW, what is your reason for never putting your real name to any of your posts?
Steve

Hey Freddie,
I'll sum up the relevant part of my previous long-winded response to CdC.
What is the CSX number of your car? If it does not have one it is only a replica (fake, faux, whatever). It might be a nice one that is lots of fun for you, but to me it is not one of the living (fire) breathing originals.

Well, let's see......
.....my cobra, being a Butler, weighs c. 2650 lbs. What does your "cobra" weigh?
Gawd......as they say, brevity is the soul of wit.....you seemingly possess neither. I would submit that the tone, tenor and personal invective in your postings has made you about as popular as poison-ivy underwear!

My 'Vette is around 3200 lbs and is 350bhp. Plenty of power to weight for me to have some fun. If I wanted to have a higher power to weight, and a (much) more brutal ride I could have opted (and almost did) for a Caterham 7. Some of them can even eat unsuspecting 427s for lunch!

So, you don't have a Cobra, never had a Cobra - just appreciate real Cobra's.
Also, you've never served in the Military but appear to be an expert on all military matters. Now, you are not living in your mom's basement, right?
Geez, it's probably good that you are here, at least you are not out there scaring citizens. I'm thinking that the Club is providing a Community service by allowing you to post BS all day long.
My real name - I'm way too famous, possibly infamous in some circles to do that here. I don't want Cobra fan chicks to start filling my PM.
Also, do you look anything like this.......

I would rather have a Vette than a Frankenstein monster car - Jag rear end bolted to a junked Pinto chassis with a Fiero steering rack you found by the side of the road... Why bother with Negstad when you have Bubba!
You should consider meeting up with these guys - you would fit right in, especially at the front.
Maybe you can swap emblems and other parts with them.
