Sad News!!! WTM442

As some of you may or may not know of the passing of Warren Meyer (WTM442). I know he was always on this site so I just felt like someone should inform you of the sad news.

Warren T. Meyer, an avid car enthusiast, died suddenly Tuesday March 24 at his home in Squantum. He was 61 years old.

Born in Quincy and raised in Squantum, he was a graduate of North Quincy High School and Northeastern University. Mr. Meyer worked for The Foxboro Company as a systems engineer for special projects until his retirement in 2003. He enjoyed restoring cars, cooking and working in his garden.

Beloved son of the late Lawrence F. and Muriel O. (Erb) Meyer. Brother of Carole Wood of Vineyard Haven, Deborah fanning of Norton and Cheryl J. McCarthy of Pembroke. Warren is survived by eight nephews, two nieces, two great-nieces, a great-great-nephew and a great-great-niece.

Memorial visitation at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, MILTON, Tuesday March 31 beginning at 1:00 PM with a Memorial Service to be conducted by Rev. Michael S. Robertson of First Church of Squantum at 2:30 PM. Relatives and friends invited.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Warren’s memory may be made to American Heart Assn., 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or American Diabetes Assn., 330 Congress St., Boston, MA 02210.

Just horrible!

I so enjoyed Warren's inputs-----just a terrific, solid pillar of this site. We shared many a hysterical "back-channel" message. Condolences to all.

Aah, say it isn't so.....

:( This is awful news. He was more fun, had great posts so often that it made it neceessary to see just what he up to next.

Godspeed, Warren - you're missed already and will continue to be. To the family, all our best and know he had friends from afar too.

WOW, at 61. I just read his bio, including "Retired a few years ago at 54 and having a blast" Thank God he had time, possibly the time of his life.

God bless Warren T. Meyer.

Very sad news...Warren will be missed by all. My condolences go out to Warren's family.

I kidded Warren that his SPF was the most photographed titanium Cobra on Club Cobra. I also gave him a bad time when he traded out his "trademark" avatar for the piano playing turtle. He later returned his avatar to the lovely lady in the green top sitting in his car. And who can forget his memorable thread "Video of Yesterday's Ride."

Blue skies and open roads my friend.

Vary sad, RIP.
