There will also be a window of opportunity next year - mid-term election - if one of the two houses of Congress can be taken over by Republicans - at least a divided government would slow down the ride to hell.

Now, more than ever, we need to balance the Gov. with Republicans!

jvh48 ... I agree , but also disagree somewhat . We need to balance the Government with CONSERVATIVES and Constitutionalists . The Democrat party is now the Socialist party ( Comrade Congressman/Senator ) and the Republican party has become the Democrat party . There is ( in my opinion ) no party that believes in conservative principles any more . Having said that , I will fight/work to try to restore some semblance of sanity to government .... but , as was pointed out , the best hope now is 2010.

Let's hope it isn't too late. Obama is going to try and initiate policy that speeds up the citizenship for all the illegals in our country.

Nothing like enriching his voting base.
