Blood-sucking monster will devour us all (California)
Blood-sucking monster will devour us all
Now we’ve really done it. We’ve poked the blood-sucking monster in Sacramento and it’s time to grab whatever we have left and run for our lives. http://www.theunion.com/article/2009...9963/1024/NONE ____ This is local (California) where we just bit@h slapped Sacramento - all but one proposition (more taxes) failed (3 to 1) with the one that passed not a tax issue - no raises any year that the budget isn't balanced - elected representatives - passed 3-1. Anyway, it's well done - they need $41 Billion - no one is safe now - smokers may be looking at another $1.50 a pack (tax), etc. Think about it - what if the same thing could be done at the Federal level - in other words - take away their money printing press - force them to find the cuts to balance the Federal budget. Probably wishful thinking. Also, Californians have had it with taxes - let's go nation wide. |
We need to invade Nevada...topple Reid and take over the casinos.
|
Repeal the 16th amendment. The federal politicians will all go home to the fine homes they embezzled from us. Money IS Power!
|
Don't worry; Be happy!
BoBo will bail y'all out! Can't possibly let all those 'blue' voters find out they actually DO have to pay for something! Sets a bad precedent! |

With all the Indian gambling around already, why not? Of course, the Indians would not be happy campers. Also, prostitution - legalize it, tax it - just in SF and LA. |
:)
CDC, I agree but if they legalize prostitution in San Francisco then the special police unit that is just for that will have to actually go out and look for real crime. But it would keep money in the state both with the gambling and prostitution, and the savings on gas bills would be huge as people wouldn't have to drive to Nevada. Ron :) |
It does seem like legalizing gambling and prostitution would provide a ton of benefits for the state. The state can even lease state land to gambling outfits - like Alcatraz for example. Nevada gets all the upside of gambling and CA gets all the downside - money leaving the state.
In my banking career, we served one of the Indian casinos - they netted $120,000 per day - tax free - just one casino. It's big money. |
See now you guys are talking, I could think of a few other things that could be de-criminalized and taxed as well not to mention it would alleviate a lot of overcrowded prisons
|
As long as there is move for you in prison, I'm for it.
|
Just read they might close Hearst Castle...evidently it's never paid for its own upkeep. Hmmm....think the prices might have been a bit low there, Butch?
Good...they should let Ritz-Carlton have it. Always wanted to take a sit on one them there marble toilets. |
Why CDC you say the sweetest things!
|
Only because farts are not allowed as responses.
By the way, you seem awfully gay today, cobra (space) bill. Are are you just having a good day? |

Now, with that said - I'm not saying you are gay, just posting gay. Besides, you support gay marriage, right? |
Well if I weren't comfortable with my sexuality, I might be offended, but I'm not, and frankly I could care less what other people do, if marriage makes them happy, so be it, not going to affect my marriage in any way. Sorry no revelation here, if it makes you feel any better, I do know some, my wife is a hair dresser, and is friends with some great ones, you looking for a friend perhaps
