I am glad the officer didn't apologize and I hope he stands his ground.

Sounds like Obama might be the one who needs to do the apologizing. Racial profiling works both ways.

Booker T had it right and he passed on in 1915! It's just not going to stop. Gates took advantage of the situation when he just needed to keep his mouth shut and perhaps be a little grateful for the property protection.

I've read the police report - it's Obama that needs to apologize and keep his pie hole out of local business. Even using the word "stupidity" is not very presidential.

The officers would have arrested anyone of any race that refused to show them ID, and was verbally abusive towards them. Then continued to try to incite a riot by yelling discrimination claims to bystanders. IMO The officers would have been justified arresting him when he refused to show ID. If they were racially motivated that is what would have happened. It appears to me that they gave this guy a lot of leeway and he just spit it in their face because he is a friend of the president. Completely unacceptable. He felt he could say and do anything because he knows Obama.

like this are ignorant.

I had a situation very similar to the officer above. My partner and I responed to a 911 hang up at a residence. We arrived at the home and were met outside by a drunk black male. We told the man that we needed to check the house to make sure everyone was ok after he claimed nobody called 911. This guy responded by sicking his dog on me which I shot and killed after he bit me in the thigh. The incident ended after a showdown in the guys kitchen after he threw a coffee maker at me, and threatened us with kitchen knifes. After a dose of pepper spray the guy gave up. This all happend in front of his 11 year old daughter who was screaming for her dad to stop.

I ended up in federal court (his dirtbag lawyer filed a 5 million dollar federal lawsuit) after this guy claimed racism, and stated that we had beat him with batons. The guy had no injuries (we took full body pictures of him before booking), and all the use of force experts that testified stated that we could have used deadly force in the kitchen and would have been justified. Instead of being thankful he was still alive, this dirtbag plays the race card and put my partner and I threw two years of B.S. which ended in a jury trial in federal court where we were exonerated.

This stuff happens all the time. I worked in a city that had a very bad gang problem, but working the black side of town was much worse than the hispanic side. This is changing now because the hispanics are learning from the black activist groups to play the same games. I am glad I don't have to deal with this B.S. anymore :mad:

That's Deputy Sheriff (there is only one Sheriff), and unless you have done the job you don't really know much about it IMO. "Contempt of cop" is one of the many terms I have heard many times from the anti law enforcement crowd.
