Medical Murder: Why Obamacare - Early Deaths of Millions-Baby Boomers
Imagine lying in some government-run hospital, hospice or nursing home many years from now. Imagine languishing unattended for days in soiled sheets, suffering from hunger and thirst, covered with bed sores, your flesh aboil with untreated infections. Imagine living in fear of resentful, underpaid health aides who take out their anger on you and abuse you. And imagine spending your final moments on earth in the company of a government health care worker with a syringe, who injects you with a lethal cocktail. President Obama’s health proposals have the potential to turn this nightmare into a reality for millions of Americans. Especially vulnerable are the 80 million baby boomers born between 1946 and 1964. That generation has been targeted for a program of age-based medical rationing such as our country has never before experienced. [...] Cutting costs by letting people die President Obama has promised huge cuts in medical spending -- up to $700 billion, or 30 percent, annually. If we fail to make such cuts, he says, we will face financial Armageddon. “The cost of our health care is a threat to our economy,” Obama told the American Medical Association in Chicago on June 15. “It is a ticking time bomb for the federal budget.” A 30-percent annual cut is going to take a big bite out of somebody’s health care. The only question is whose. (Excerpt) Read more at wnd.com ... _____ Aren't most members here Baby Boomers? Kiss your ass goodbye..... |

Controlling the purse strings isn't power. Spending money is the power. There won't be any cuts by the tax and spend crowd. |
Do you really believe this?
|
$700B in cuts annually is a good start towards a balanced budget. Old people should have planned for their own health coverage anyway. Poorer health coverage means quicker deaths, which will in turn, will accelerate cost reductions. Sounds like a win-win.

Paul,
Why not save even more and just make it a law that when you reach 65 you report to an extermination chamber to be removed from society, and I include all of the politicians in that. Then they could use the bodies for food. Remember Soilent Green? Ron |
It's funny how people complain about government spending until it involves them.
|
Hell, let's lower the age to 50 for the extermination chamber, that way everyone in Congress will be gased along with me and I want have to pay any more taxes. LOL, db

WOW, surprising support here for Obama's health reform plan!
|
Let's pretend for a minute that World Net Daily actually has a clue and is not some right wing radical nut job blog for tin foil hat types.
So let me get this straight - conservative types want people to be reliant on government for their health care, and government is supposed to provide it even though we cannot afford it? But then, using the brilliant method of accounting that conservatives like to use - lets also cut everyones taxes so nobody has to pay for health care - we can just borrow it from China. You have a right to life - you do not have a right to medical care to prolong that life. Steve |
I say let's expand the insurance benefits for everyone............

You seem left of Obama in so many ways. The spinning is obvious. |

If advocating self-reliance is left of Obama, then so be it. And why do your comebacks always seem so stale and unimaginative? It's almost like they come from the 'GOP Guidebook for Winning an Argument'. Steve |
VRM/Steve ... " conservative types want people to be reliant on government for their health care, and government is supposed to provide it even though we cannot afford it? "
I`m about as conservative/libertarian as you can get ... and if the government would give me back the money I and my employers have paid into the system over the years , with a nominal rate of interest for the use ( miss use ? ) of my money , I`ll gladly walk away from any and all government programs and take care of myself . Could it be that the reason we can`t afford .................( you fill in the blank ) is because of massive government corruption , mismanagement on every program they touch , incompetence and all the freeloaders/looters on the programs who refuse to support themselves ? You are correct in as much as we have a right to life and the pursuit of happiness ... but it is my responsibility to take care of myself... and if I can afford it , any medical care I want/need . But the problem is that the government will make that option unavailable period. |

I'm very libertarian myself, and I completely agree that government is too big, corrupt, and it caters too much to those type of people who refuse to do anything for themselves. But I disagree that government will make that option unavailable. Even it abortion was against the law there will still be abortions because there will still be a demand for it. Private medical care will not be against the law, and that demand will still be there. It may be more expensive, but it may also allow us as a country to focus on making sure kids work on diet, exercise, and not smoking/taking drugs. I think that would be cheaper in the long run. It seems that the nature of politics these days is to take the viewpoint you don't agree with, develop the worst possible scenario to apply it to, and then exaggerate the results. It results in a bunch of chicken littles running around (from either party) squawking about how the sky will fall if a certain thing happens. And then people trust that squawking because they have no viewpoint of their own. Steve |
