Mike,
I have two hopes for this country that might actually do some good.
1. The GOP somehow manages to discover what being an American is really about, and actually offers candidates that really are for small government and small taxes.
2. People realise that neither the GOP nor the DNC are any good for this country and start voting on actual issues rather than voting for party x because they always have.

Bush was terrible, and a few fires were lit under people butts to do something. However, too many of them did not think about what that something actually was, and they elected Obama. The GOP has their chance, but if they want to win they have to get the votes of the independents.

Most Americans will agree with almost everything that guy said (though the Electoral College thing might be a problem for the folks living in the middle of the country).

I will never agree that "Bush was terrible". Most of the negative crap was media generated. Surely, you are entitled to your point of view. But, I will not read a comment like that and let it go without a rebuttal. If the Intenet had existed during Reagan's time, we would have all been reading similar comments. Time will tell. It always does.

And for the others here who want to re-educate me, hang it up. It won't happen.

Bush far exceeds that POC currently occupying the White House.
