Dan;
I think I will agree when the plan for my head to stop spinning from all the planning considerations takes hold. :LOL:

Tone this dialog down a little bit, OK?

...And lay off each other.

It's starting to sound like a Town Hall meeting.

Thanks

The present town hall meetings are showing emotions. Americans being INVOLVED in the political process, both intellectually and emotionally, SHOULD be considered a GOOD thing by BOTH parties. But ONE party is NOT listening.

Well, if Danica was in here, I would repectfully have to ignore that.

Excalibur,

Your original post stated that Frank held his ground as if you are proud of that.

Frank embodies much of what is wrong with politics and the political class. If, as you suggested, you would like to advance the debate your time would be better spent not focusing on one lady's unfortunate comparison, but recognizing that Frank and his ilk are in large part responsible for the failed government policies and overspending, not the "greedy" health insurance companies, wall street, the banks, the oil companies, etc.

Seems to me that those in government are pretty damn greedy. Personal gain. Personal power. They will do anything to insure they get all of that, even if it means spending this country into oblivion.

As I've pointed since this thread began, it's not wether Barney is good, bad or ugly. It's about a reality check on a wing nut with Nazi ideas. I would like see more politicians and regular folks take that kind of verbage head on. No matter who it comes from, left right or center.

Jamo 08-21-2009 01:00 PM

I agree with that, Ernie...at least Frank didn't wheeny out of holding a town hall like our Congressman did.

That's what pisses me off...the liberals who are running around crying about the folk in the audience being meanies...bunch of pussies.

If you really believe that woman, myself, or other right wing wacko's believe barney/obama is nazi reborn, then you must be pretty stupid. I donlt think anybody really believes that, but, what I do believe, and I think the point she was making, is that anytime the government forms a list of names for any reason, can use that information at a later time to be used against you, whether it's IRS audits, other investigations, whatever. There are alot of things you can do "legally" to *uck with somebody else. Actually, there are things I intentionally do now in my business that, let me say, are not very business friendly to some of the other professionals. Although comparing to the nazi's is the most extreme, maybe too extreme, there are similarities, and I see where she is coming from. Obviously, you don;t.
