It is a hoax. It was part of some Microsoft commercial in Europe. Looked it up on snopes a week or 2 ago.

Great video either way.

Not so much a hoax as a viral promotional campaign for Microsoft in Germany, I think.

I read that it was basically done in three sections: the first used a stuntman tied to a rope as he slid down the hill; the second used an animated man flying through the air; and the third was just the guy jumping into the pool on the other side.

All the same, it makes for a pretty amazing video and looks very convincing.

I'm sure he would have made that jump with the wood frame work around the
pool - great visuals if he'd have come just a little short. As it were, with the
lateral speed he had going into the pool he would have skipped on into the
hillside. Fun first look figuring out what he was doing.
