Default Obama to Address Health Care at Joint Session of Congress 9/9

http://blogs.abcnews.com/george/2009...ss-sept-9.html

So, Obama will address all the school kids on the 8th and Congress on the 9th - damn he's a busy socialist.

One wonders what he'll say this time to pursuade Americans to support health care reform.

Keep in mind that his side has the votes already in Congress, so he's got to first pursuade democrats first.

The really queer thing is that Obama actually believes that one of his speeches will do the trick. The train has left the station on this one.

What an egghead.

Addressing a joint session of Congress, is worthy of a ‘State of the Union’ address, or Declaration of War.

He’s showing his desperation.

I cannot think that Health Care" is the real issue. No one would argue that our health care system could use some adjustment. But how can anyone argue for the "Total implosion and rebuild approach?" That simply does not make sense. There must be some other agenda!

If a company had 50 territories and 40 of them put the company on top of the worldwide industry, would they fire the entire sales force and start over? Never! They would ANALYZE the 10 less producing territories and FIND fixes for them.
Has anyone seen any analysis and prioritization of Heath Care's top 10 problems? Top 5? Top 1? By anyone, Government or non?
Shouldn't even a totally incompetent rookie be able to realize that first you IDENTIFY the actual problem. Does the corruption history of he and his entire staff render them incapable of logical thought?

Dan,

Does the corruption history of he and his entire staff render them incapable of logical thought?

We are speaking of the Govt. here. Logic and thinking are not part of their ability or lives. Everything has to be a knee jerk reaction to get publicity and votes.

We were hoping that after we exported the "Chicago Way" disease, things would improve here, apparently it was more virulent than we were aware. Oh well you guys out there voted for him & his radical lefties. 10 or 20 years from now, we all will hardly remember the good times.

The Congressional Black Caucus -- alarmed by reports that President Obama may plan to ditch the public option and reduce the scale of health care reform -- is pre-emptively warning the president to express his "unwavering support" for the progressive provisions in his speech next week.

In a letter to Obama, CBC Chairwoman Rep. Barbara Lee writes:

"[W]e are deeply concerned about the current discussions surrounding health care reform and the possibility that current components of the bill – such as a robust public option and myriad health disparity elimination provisions – may be stricken in order to lower its cost to about $500 billion."

Lee & Co. suggest that the 42-member member caucus won't back the plan if Obama goes squishy on the public option, a commitment to fund universal coverage, a commitment to equalize racial and income disparities in care delivery, coverage for U.S. territories and preventive care

http://www.politico.com/blogs/glennt...on_speech.html

Coverage for US Territories, Geez it just gets wors each time someone brings up another provision of the bill. Also, "equalize racial and income disparities in care delivery" WTF is that? On the surface, it's sounds very expensive.

I said it before and I'm saying it again: It's the Cloward-Piven strategy all over again

February 07, 2009
The Cloward/Piven Strategy of Economic Recovery
By Nancy Coppock
Using borrowed money for a band-aid bailout of the economy should seem backwards to most people. However, it likely is a planned strategy to promote radical change. Those naively believing that President Obama is simply rewarding his far-left base, and will then move to the political center, must wise up.

The assumption that Obama will need the nation to prosper in order to protect the 2010 mid-term election incorrectly assumes that he esteems free market capitalism. He does not. Rather than win through superior ideas and policies, the Democrat plan for success in the mid-term elections is to win by destroying political opposition.

Obama adheres to the Saul Alinksy Rules for Radicals method of politics, which teaches the dark art of destroying political adversaries. However, that text reveals only one front in the radical left's war against America. The Cloward/Piven Strategy is another method employed by the radical Left to create and manage crisis. This strategy explains Rahm Emanuel's ominous statement, "You never want a serious crisis to go to waste."

The Cloward/Piven Strategy is named after Columbia University sociologists Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven. Their goal is to overthrow capitalism by overwhelming the government bureaucracy with entitlement demands. The created crisis provides the impetus to bring about radical political change.

According to Discover the Networks.org:

Rather than placating the poor with government hand-outs, wrote Cloward and Piven, activists should work to sabotage and destroy the welfare system; the collapse of the welfare state would ignite a political and financial crisis that would rock the nation...

Finish your assignment: http://www.americanthinker.com/2009/...tegy_of_e.html

Hopefully, The One will instead become the Willy Lohman of Washington

Ernie,

Both sort of fit that description. But thanks for the fix.
