I think it's great. He's following in the footsteps of Reagan and Bush Sr. by talking to the kids in school. Good stuff!

Ernie,

On Sunday, the secretary acknowledged that a section about writing to the president on how students can help him meet education goals was poorly worded. It has been changed.

If he throws that out and just talks about them staying in school and working hard, I agree with you. If he starts about how they can help HIM then no, I wouldn't want him trying to turn the kids into Hitler Youth Types who think they owe only the state and leader any allegiance..

But from what I have read above and in other articles, I really don't see any thing wrong with the speech and if it will help some kid stay in school instead of becoming a doper or thief, I am all for it. Just leave out the politics and how they can help him.

Ron

Republican, Democrat, independant, I really don't care. Stay out of our schools. This might seem minor right now but it is just the start of mind games as far as I am concerned.
