Rest In Peace John Hart
It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing the passing of John Hart. He was a long time business associate of mine..... and a close friend. John has passed away at the age of 91.
John was a pioneer of road racing back in the early days in California. He designed & layed out the Willow Springs track with Bill Pollack. He was friends with & raced with all the big names of yesteryear including Briggs Cunningham. John not only raced but also filmed/photographed many of the events.
John was also an actor & most remembered for his portrayal of the Lone Ranger for the 1952 television season. He also was Hawkeye in "Hawkeye & the Last of the Mohicans"(with Lon Chaney Jr), Narbo in "Rawhide" (with Clint Eastwood), "Jack Armstrong All-American Boy", with Elvis in "Viva Las Vegas" (John was the Pit Crew Chief) & the list goes on including dozens of "B" westerns & hundreds of Hollywood film & movie parts.
John put his career on hold & entered WWII in it's early days & fought the entire War in the Pacific Theatre. -A true Patriot.
He was the last of the Silver Screen cowboys & I'm going to miss him. I worked as his agent for a decade & a half. He was a great friend & he touched many lives.
Rest in Peace John.........................Salute
