Senate committee rejects 'public option' amendment
http://www.marketwatch.com/story/sen...-09-29-1455410 _____ This puts the senate on a collision course with the house, where the liberal wing has said they will NOT vote for a plan without a public option. Of course the public option isn't dead yet, it still could be put back in during the reconciliation of the house and senate bills. But, by this vote, it looks like a bill with a public option will be DOA in the senate. |
It aint over yet, the fat lady hasn't even warmed up. :)
I would like to see a public option, myself, carefully written. Maybe we'll get there yet. |
Without it, the price we the tax payers will be paying to insure the ones the insurance companies didn't cherry pick, will be extremely expensive, whatever happened to the fiscal conservatives? why is it just the nut bags that are left.

why is it just the nut bags that are left.
The most truthful statement that you've even posted, lefty. |

Well to say any of the bills to date are carefully written would be a stretch. I remain optomistic! :)
|
Optimistic? Given the evidence since Obama was elected? You are truly a liberal
|
You all seem to have decided that the topic is no longer the discussion...
...and now you are simply fascinated with each other. Nice...I mean, all of you getting along and stuff.... |
Group hug?
Nah, I'll pass on going that far... :) By the way, in spite of all this mornings activity here on CC I've: Installed my new flywheel and re-assembled the trans with new synchro's. To hot to continue right now, I'll wait until it cools off later this afternoon or evening. |

Well, I did have to take it apart and put it back together more than once before I was comfortable with it... re-re-assemble might be more accurate. :)

Scott, Ernies working on his transmission can't be put under a label such as Libs. After all no politician would ever do anything over or check it to see if it was right or was even going to work before passing a law. That was just checking what he had did to satisfy himself that it was correct. Ron :D |

This isn't about creating a welfare state or folks asking for handouts. It's about reforming health care for the benefit of all the people and bring affordable health care to those that don't have any. The number of those without is growing every day. These aren't welfare folks, there normal everyday hard working people who may have lost their job and health care along with it. Or had a major health problem and found out their insurance was cancelled. There are a bunch of reasons why we need reform.
...not ready for the rockin' chair, but when I am, I want a Harley engine on it. :) |
Perhaps a few more posters here will come to understand the truth of Goya’s axiom that “The Sleep of Reason Produces Monsters.”

Since when has health care been an entitlement? :JEKYLHYDE Yep, they aren't welfare folks, but they certainly want someone else to give them a quick fix for even the slightest of ailments. Anyone remember (link?) how Forbes when faced with insurmountable health care costs, due to unlimited care (full coverage benefit program), fixed the problem? :JEKYLHYDE What do you think human nature/society is going to do with every asinine plan which has been proposed thus far? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2jijuj1ysw Reagan screwed up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bLJxm...om=PL&index=27 They have plenty to hide. I am confident the Jamo and Jamo like people of the world could dissect the 72 pages in mere minutes of glancing at the social engineering. |

And it is contained within each of the bills that those who cannot afford the "new" health care will be subsidized by the Guv. THAT IS WELFARE! And if you actually believe that ANY Government program is going to SAVE money, please name one that has and does. The other thing that spending half borrowed dollars means is not that we as a nation are going broke. No, it means that we as a nation are long since GONE BROKE. Some hard working people do suffer circumstances that crush them. LIFE is not fair! Supporting those few that do suffer through no fault of their own REQUIRES that we support legions of worthless parasites that have sucked the life out of this country since FDR's time. At some time we have to stop or the nation collapses. We cannot indefinitely support the parasites you feel so much compassion for. Our engine might have already blown and we are just coasting to the junk yard now. |
