Ozgur_Tan,

That is a nice collection that you have. I will try to get some of mine on here soon. Not all Shelby's but I don't intend to post pictures of all 500 of them either. Most are stored away in their boxes as I don't have room to display them.

 G'day Ron,
Thank you for your kind words, frankly I've got scale models that is not cobra ...
You are completely right about space required for collections, book, magazines, cd's.
That's why I design home/office corner and coffee table.
Regards,
Ozgur

I'm gonna jump on here just to be kept up to date on the content. Besides being a Cobra owner/builder/driver, I'm a model builder and collector, and I think this section has great potential. I've got lots of stuff in mind for this section, in particular the modification and buildup of a 1/25th scale FIA Cobra. In the meantime, a couple of nice 1/20th diecasts:
This one is twenty years old

And a GT 350

Hi guys, directed here by Ron from SAAC. Thanks Ron!
First post, nice to be here! A know a couple other guys here but never joined as I don't have a Cobra/replica for now but I do have scale models.
Great collection of cars guys! Love seeing all the diecast/models!

Here's a 1/18 scale model of the Factory Five Racing car that Dave Smith flipped at the 1997 Run & Gun event where they won the "King of the Hill" title. With some nudging from my son, when I went to the World of Wheels 2009 to have Dave Smith autograph the car, I entered it into a model car contest and won Best Diecast and Best of Show of 78 models. Hope you like it.
More pics here...

 Philbo,
Congrats on the win!
The contest you won at is hosted by some friends of mine. I'm guessing you are local to MA - you should check out the MassCar show in Taunton in late March. There should have been flyers at the WoW, but you can get more info at www.masscar.com . There is even a special Shelby class this year (along with Ferrari and Hemi-powered theme awards)!
The contest competition is usually quite a bit tougher, but there are also some really nice models that show up. Most of the entries are plastic/resin based rather than diecast.

Steve

I cant tell you how many times i built that AMT 1/25th 289 Cobra. then scales changed. I built a 1/1 scale from SPF.

 | What does your car look like? I know a bunch of people, including myself, who are more than capable, but nobody works cheap.

 02roush,
When I had my Cobra, I took a model to the body and paint man that did the work and he painted it for me free. Not a difficult paint scheme as mine was white with red stripes.

(Hey Ron, I'm 427HISS on the other site) !
Well, I'm happy there's a die cast thread here !
I have several 1:18 scale cars, mostly cobras, and since we race winged sprint cars, I want to start collecting them. I really don't care about selling these later as a investment and won't pay over $100 for one.

Here's some questions.

1- who's is the best quality, R&R ? (make a list from best to, damn,...I don't want that piece of s*** )!

2- are the 1:18 winged sprints too tall for most acrylic display cases ?

3-other than ebay, who has the best prices ?

Here is one of my favorite sprints, not only because it's "The King", but the quality looks nice. It's made by "Action".

Here is a R&R on ebay for half the price of the Action, for $44.00
No pic of the open hood but, is there any difference between the two brands ?

What are your favorite website's for die casts, besides CC. lol
