Kick Off the New Season: East Coast Ride
Too much damn snow. I'm thinking of the near future. Just started my BDR snake with ease. I'm getting the itch to go riding, but its just too soon.
However, Just checking interest in a cobra kick off ride. Involving anyone in my area of CT, RI, MA, NY, ETC.I'm sure Jay and Bryan at Vintage would be interested. We would have at least two months to get things squared away such as rally points, course layout, meeting points, breakfast and or lunch and dinner bring the wives or girl friends, a son or daughter. I think it would be fun to do. I just enjoy driving these things, so if anyone loves driving their cobra's as much as I do maybe we can all come up with a nice kick off event. Let me know of any interest. Thanks. cross reference from backdraft section: http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/backdraft-racing/102924-kick-off-new-season-east-coast-ride.html |
Jay from vintage mentioned something about a combined ride to the Limerock events. This sounds great too.
It may be too far to wait for me. I was looking at an earlier ride to kick off the season some time in April as well. We can do both weather permitting of course. |
We were out today... Where were you?

Hi Guys,
Thinking of an RI Mansion Road Trip to Kick off the season, some time around april or so |
Lots of sand in my area still. I Hope to be planning a kick off event some time in april or so. RI Mansions, state wide ride, ride to central location for a picnic, Gilette Castle, etc. Something different to kick off the season and get the oil mixing good.
Hope some of you cobra guys in the area can make it I think it can be a fun time. No matter what car you have. Bring a passenger, friend, spouse, girl friend, etc. Gary |
Had the Snake out on Saturday. After resting for 2 months it started fairly quickly. Ah, the sweet smell of hydrocarbons on my sweatshirt.
Had this guy for 10 years now and I'm still on the same Interstate battery. Bob |
Stay tuned
|
It hit 50 here today in Central Mass and I went for a quick spin around town (maybe 20 miles). way too much sand on the ground, with all the rain we got, I was hoping that it washed most away.
And with snow in the forcast for the next 2 days. . . . |
I'm in central. CT and. Our weekend. Is supposed to be nice. I'm hoping to find time too.
Also,I'm planning on posting a Copley of options for thekick off ride |

My vote:
No. 3 No. 4 I live in Newport, but the roads aren't as fun/as nice as East Haddam CT. As matter of fact -- most of RI's roads are sh!t |
As long as it is well thought out, organized, and in one place it should be good :JEKYLHYDE
