A Monadnock meander on Saturday, October 15th.
Join me for a cruise through the Monadnock region of southern NH. We will gather in the large parking lot near Starbucks in Milford, NH. Please arrive by 9:45 gassed up and ready to go. The rain date is the following day, Sunday, Oct. 16th.The decision regarding rain will be announced Friday at 6pm if needed. We will head out at 10:00 for a winding foliage cruise. The route will cover about 80 miles of secondary roads (many freshly paved) A gas and bladder break is planned at the 1 ½ hour mark. With that out of the way it’s on to Kimball’s in Jaffrey, NH for lunch. If you’re coming from the west you’re welcome to head home from there or stay with the pack as we wind our back to the Nashua area. |
I'm interested, would love to finally meet some of you guys and gals. Weather permitting, count me in...

I loved riding around the Keene/Rindge areas of NH, even climbed Mt Monadnock on a beautiful Mid September day back in the early 80’s.

Count me in! Should have the Cobra back in the road by then, hate to have to find a Corvette or something silly. :-)
|
I will pass this information on to John (ERA-FIA)
He wants to join in. |
The weather is looking good for Saturday. If only 1/2 the people who have expressed interest show up we should have a good turnout.
|
The weather gods are giving us a thumbs up for Saturday. The address for the Milford, NH Starbucks is 600 Nashua St. I hope to see you at 8:45

Looking forward to it!

What an amazing day! The 1963 CSX 2118 Cobra was a real treat to see! Great showing of cars, I think it was total of 14! Gorgeous, Gorgeous day and a great route through S.NH!
Many thanks for organizing! |
What a great day. We had 11 cobras show up 10 were recreations from an assortment of manufactures. Along with that there was a real honest to God original! Along with that we had an FF5 truck and a lovely yellow Porsche.
A special thanks to ERA's lovely co-pilot who saved the day by coming up with a great plan-b for lunch. (My spot had closed for the season) Picture to follow if I can figure out how. |
Harvey, thanks for organizing this. We both had a great time today meeting new folks and enjoying some great scenery with some wonderful Cobras. It was our pleasure to suggest The Dublin Taproom as an alternate, glad it worked out. Hope we can do this again.
As a side note, CSX 2118 was indeed a treat, and was so glad to see such a wonderful example out in the wild. -Ed |
Greetings Monadnock Meander's, I now live in Delaware, but spent 3 years at Franklin Pierce College in Rindge. And, return to campus a few time every year. I had spent a lot of time cruising the Monadnock region with a group of fellow car enthusiasts. I would love to see pictures, if you publish pictures could you please send them to my email address? awfink55@verizon.net. And yes...Kimballs has the BEST fried belly clams around !!!! Best to all.

This looks like a good one to add to the schedule next year. The leaves have been great this year.

Ex-DECcie lived in Gardner... Stationed in Littleton and Shrewsbury. When I lived there I don't recall Kimballs having food, just ice cream and seasonal hours. Everyone at LTN sites went on opening day. |
Am I the only one to ever take pictures?
Where are the pics? |
