BUMP - 7 year old thread already......

underhood snake
When I was searching A LOT for my car, I seem to remember seeing some pics of a number of cobras with underhood painting similar to the car you are looking for. Have you tried various Google searches and looked thru the thousands of pictures that come up? It's a long shot, but just could be possible. I have found things that way that I couldn't any other. Good luck with your quest!!

I have 483 & live in the Tri-State area of ME., N.H., & MA. Now that I know that 484 was last seen in the area. I'll pass the word to other local AC & sport car owners who may not know that you are looking for her. With the winter we are having. Come this spring; every AC, GT-40 etc. owner will be out @ all the shows this spring/summer! If 483 is still moving; out an about and not stashed in some storage barn. We should have some luck in finder her! With the withdrawls I'm having; not being able to pull the Mauler out to cruz and romp! I can't imagine what your going thru!!! I will give it the old college try for sure. Sorry, I didn't realize it had been that long since she was last seen (2005) I'll still give it a shot this comming season. (2014)

did you ever call era to see if they ever get a service request from the current owner of 484?

Last August when I read this thread, I recognized a photo of the car over on Cobra Registry. I even contacted the person who posted it in a thread about Cobra hood art. It was just an internet photo so he has no connection to the car. He said he searched again on the internet for the photo but couldn't locate it again. So, if that photo is still out there the source may offer a clue to this car.

May help
Hi Zac,
I read your thread with interest. I found a pix of this hood at: toadcustompaint.com They are located in Wilton NH 603-672-2288. They may help you in your quest. You can Google image search- cobra painting under hood -to find the image. I hope this may help track down your car. Best of luck, Art Fink |
^^ Toad was the guy that did the hood originally. Nice guy, alas I doubt he could be much help.

Glad you haven't given up. I saw this thread was resurrected and was hoping for a great ending, but I see the search is still on. Best of luck! I agree that your best bet is to send over boxes of pizza, beer or whatever you have to do to the folks at ERA to put a big ass note on the folder they have for your car to contact you should anybody call asking for information or parts.
