I am going

John and I both want to go and get the glove box signed by Shelby.
I spoke with Glenn Tiberiis from Tasca Ford, He has 275 spots in the car show, gates open at 7:00 am, $10.00 donation, first come first serve. No reserved spots. Trophies for 9 classes voted on by the participantes. He say not to many cobras in the past, alot of mustangs.

cakeman13 08-11-2007 06:00 AM

There are 9 of us coming down from the north shore working on getting space set aside for cobras will post results when received

Cakeman

Where are you meeting and how early are you leaving to go to Tasca Ford?

Fattyd 08-13-2007 07:46 AM

I too am thinking about making run up (only a hour ride from Middletown, CT and right now the weather seems accomodating). If there is a group meeting in or around the show, please post. If any CT boys want to cruise together, let me know as well. :D

cakeman13 08-13-2007 08:58 AM

Talked to Tasca rep this mornimg he said that if he can get 10+cobras at the show he would talk to the powers that be and see if he could set up a class for us (still not offical yet) will keep you all informed when he returns my call. I know of 9 that are coming, lets see if we can make it 20

wtm442 08-13-2007 09:02 AM

Add me to the list. I'm going.

John,

You may as well have them make a trophy for your rig! Your car is great!

Best of luck to all.

Was down at the Mohegan "Hot Summer Fun" event last Wednesday on the Parking Garage. Decent deal, some nice cars showed up for the event (some not so nice) with about 5 or 6 Cobras. Talked with some owners who, although don't post on CC, said they too were heading down to TASCA, weather permitting of course. It looks like there should be a pretty good turn out. If anyone from CT is organizing a ride in, let me know.

Fattyd 08-24-2007 08:47 AM

Just spoke with Glenn the promoter for the show. They have given the Cobras a special class / area that the show. He said they've got 275 spots for cars but are expecting over 500 to show up, so get there early if you're going he said.

$10 bucks to enter your car - 2 canned goods to get in. :3DSMILE:

Warm up you wallet, he doesn't sign cheaply!

Believe me, we're not talking $20.00 here.

Shelby's signature $50 to $100 bucks

But I know Jeff.......
He should do it for FREE!

Fog in the morning and evening no way to take the car, we will have to get on a boat, which makes us a late arrival even without the car.

wtm442 08-24-2007 12:40 PM

I heard it was a $200 donation to his charity for his signature. Bring a check because its tax-deductible.

I talked with Cakeman late last week, and a bunch of us are meeting at the rest stop on I-95 south (just south of I-495) at 7:30 AM. Then we will cruise into the show early to get a good spot.

Tasca Ford - the memories I have of their Ford 401's & 406's back in the
early 60's at the drags. Sure would like to attend this one but Hawaii is
just a tad too far away. Those of you nearby - don't miss it! Shelby's
signature on any car part is $200 (mail in anyway) but it is tax deductible,
who knows how much longer he will be around and when he's gone it is too late. I have gotten my $'s worth just listening to people's comments when they see the signature on the glove box. "It must be real - He signed it"
and I have a Classic Roadster which isn't even close - little do they know. It is fun.

HI Cobra 08-24-2007 06:17 PM

Glad I got my autographs already - who knows what the autographs will
