Default Southern Connecticut Lunch Sunday - 10-26-08

Hey Kids:
While today (Saturday) is going to be windy and rainy, tomorrow is supposed to be warm and sunny. It may be the last best day of the season (it will be winter in a couple of weeks). If anyone out there is interested in doing a ride and/or lunch please respond. We will travel as far as Bethel, Litchfield or Essex. If there are no responses Noreen and I will probably be at the Fish Tale in Madison around 1:00 PM.

Bob

I am new to the club and just had an ERA built. I would love to meet up the Fish Tale around 1:00 or 2:00

Silver ERA with dual pushers? I'd seen you last weekend downtown.

The weather is still predicted to be dry on Sunday so that being the case we will be at the Fish Tale (near Hammonasset on Route 1) at 1:00 (give or take). The planned route is Orange to Madison via Route 95.

I tried to hook up with you all at Fish Tales at around 2:30 but you must have left. We had no power here until around 10:30am today so I couldn't get on the web for updates. Snow coming Wednesday? Hope you enjoyed the ride.

A likely story Todd! You left me to take on two beautiful ERAs (I wish I had cleaned the car following last week's ride upstate). Jack had a small block and Gary had a monster big block. We were doing a ride down toward Essex when Gary had to stop for gas (the price you pay for power) and Jack continued on. In the end I went back on 80 looking for Gary but unsuccessfully. At any rate, a nice day for a ride in your part of the state.

Maybe there is still time for one more weekend cruise. Next time I'll get the cell phone numbers.

It was nice meeting you, Jack, and your wives yesterday. After gassing up, I continued on Rt 80 but could not locate where we supposed to meet for coffee. Definitely cell phone numbers next time! I wound up coming back Rt 80 to 154 in Westbrook to home, only to arrive with no power still. I am up for another weekend cruise if the good weather continues. I have to try and meet up with Todd since we missed him and are both in the same town.

Bob:

When next you conjure up an event, let me know. I would love to have taken part, but was other wise occupied up in the Finger Lakes (See: http://www.tracktimephotos.com/large...6_WGI_GRN_2346)
