Default Ferrari GTO in public domain

l love the lines of the GTO. I hope a company along the likes of FFR produce something. Especially since they already produce the Daytona and they're pretty close in shape / size. https://www.thedrive.com/news/34628/...y-for-kit-cars

Thumbs up My homebuilt GTO

About 20 years ago, I decided my Cobra needed a garage mate. Here's what resulted and has been my daily driver for the last 6 months.







My Cobra is now mostly sitting in the garage under a cover. Some of it is the newness of the GTO but mostly it's the thrill of acceleration when the loud pedal is pressed because of this:

Joel, more detail's ??? What a cool looking GTO !! Frame ? Body? etc? Did you ever think about 15" wires, for a period correct vintage look? No matter, neat neat Car. Cheers TommyRot.

The summary is: homebuilt round tube chassis, C5 Corvette suspension/drivetrain, LS3 engine converted to SOHC and boosted with Magnuson supercharger, fiberglass body, aluminum doors and trunk.

As to your wheel/tire question. I built the GTO to drive and drive fast. Driving fast meant using modern performance tires that all have short sidewalls. So to get an overall tire height the same as used on original GTO, a 19" rim was needed. In addition, C5 suspension is designed for rims with a large amount of backspace, more backspace than can be accommodated with a spoke rim. So I chose a rim with a spoke like look instead of going for period correct look. A compromise to get a fantastic driving experience instead of optimizing for the "car show" experience.

Joel, never mind that TommyRot. He's just OLD.
Your car is truly outstanding and I think you made excellent decisions about the power, suspension and braking. I run 15" wheels on my ERA because that's what I like and its few days on the track are long gone.
