FOLLOWING IS A PRESS RELEASE that is under EMBARGO until April 23rd. 2004. It is close enough. he is on his way to Las Vegas to accept the award. Since he is enroute, I thought I would jump the gun. I am proud to call him, my engine builder and my friends. GESSFORD MACHINE INC. NAMED '2004 MACHINE SHOP OF THE YEAR' LAS VEGAS, APRIL 23, 2004-George Anderson, owner of Gessford Machine in Hastings, NE. has received the 2004 "Machine Shop of the Year" award from Engine Builder magazine and the Engine Rebuilders Association (AERA). The award, presented during thr AERA 2004 New Products Showcase in Las Vegas, honors the professional engine builder or machine shop determined to be the "BEST OF THE BEST" in the association. "Engine Builder" magazine is proud to recognize George Anderson and all the employees as our "Machine Shop of the Year", said Doug Kaufman, editor. "Although this was, by far, the most competitive year yet, the diversity Gessford exhibited in its entry clearly shows that the shop is a fine recipient of the award". TURK |

Congrats George,
And the best part of the award going to Gessford Machine Shop is that these guys are all really "good guys" especially George. Always willing to help fellow racers and other machinists. I know first hand that George varified some critical FE info with my machinist to help keep me on the track and moving. Keep up the great work George! Clois |

The Shell Valley Crew |
High accolades and richly deserved. George, you kick a$$.
|
You know, Jorge, it's damn nice that they recognize you for all of the hard work and determined effort you put into your motors. You and the Lil Basturds should be proud...and we're proud of you.
But the REAL award is knowing that all of your friends...including your fellow Gasholes...think the world of you just because you're a damn good guy that's there whenever anybody needs a helping hand. For that, you have no peers. Bravo Jorge, bravo. ;) |
George,
You are the greatest, as anybody who has worked with you can attest. :D Steve |
Congrats George, and to your crew. I've heard nothing but praise about your skills.
