Thanks for everyone's opinions...I have learned alot. I dont feel confident driving the car, any distances, until this leak is fully repaired. Hopefully soon.

It appears the transmission fluid leak has finally been located and repaired! It seems the trans rebuilder bent the midplate cover slightly allowing oil for leak out. The bend in the cover did not have sufficient sealant to compensate for the bend and that was where the oil leaked from. Gary was able to remove the cover, straigthen the plate and re-seal it. (without removing the transmission). Not much room to work from under the car.
I drove it home.... about 15 mi. with no apparent oil on the garage floor. When it was leaking, the oil would gravitate to the rear seal area making it look like the rear seal was defective.
It always something. **)
Thanks for everyone's support and feedback.

Glad to hear you got it corrected. I understand when people don't have the time or the space to do it themselves..... but this is another perfect example of why I attempt to do it myself. The old saying applies - "If you want it done right.... "
Ron, Hope to see you soon out-n-about in the car. Sonoma Town Square anyone????
