march breakfast:
Hey guys; I just finished my car, took it to autorama, now gonna try to get thru dmv with my sb100.
do you ever do berts dinner in Sheldon for breakfast, or someplace else close or not. if you are close then maybe after breakfast you might like to cruise out to my place and see the new car. (if I do not have it registered yet)
I live 5 miles straight south of the drag strip. plenty of room to park cars in my driveway.

Ray,
To my knowledge we have never met at Bert's........ but if you are volunteering to do the leg work you won't get an argument from anyone here (and if you do, let them organize it )
Btw- congrats on completing your car.

Wonderful idea Ray...thanks for taking point on this one.
Bert's has good food and would be a new place to meet...the parking lot is not huge, so a cobra parking area might need to be coned off.
Good Luck with registration and congratulations on the car.
Bob

I would be glad to chat with berts, and I have cones, however unless we sat outside they do not have an eating area that would seat us as a group. and on week end mornings they are usually very busy.
as an alternative, I have a huge outside kitchen, complete cooking facilities, water fall, pool, easily take care of 30 or more people. with plenty of parking on pavement in my driveways.
I would be glad to give a short tour of all my other cars, not a museum but just a working mans 2.5 acre place with 20 classic cars in varioius stages.
we could easily do our own breakfast here and then go for a cruise. or do breakfast someplace else, go for a cruise and as part of the cruise stop by for early afternoon snack and tour. or wait till hot weather, do a full scale bar-b-que bring the kids and swim, play in the pond waterfall and just hang out.
or we can do all the above over a 6 month timeframe.

berts dinner in Sheldon for march 20
I just checked with berts, they can seat about 30 on the patio outside, they have 6 tables with 5 to 6 at each table.
they have no problem doing individual checks. if we let them know they will post a note with the waitresses to not seat anyone outside in prep for us.
All we have to do is call them to say it is 'a go'.
For those of you that do not know Sheldon is on Grantline. about 10 miles straight east of 99 highway and Calvine road intersection and pretty much 10 miles straight south of bradshaw or sunrise and 50.
I have cones that I can take down and set up for reserve parking.
just give me the word,

Pat: that is the attitude I like to see, we will put you on as cook.
But for the home cooked breakfast and a day of more fun lets wait until maybe may or june, this way the weather is not so unsettled, for march 20 people can come see the place get acquainted and we can schedule a bigger better event for everyone, maybe make a swim day for the kids as well.
not sure I should mention the quad and go kart race track we have here.
we will keep you down as the head cook.

Pat,
I really appreciate the offer, but I told my wife I'd take the kids (ie, get them out of her hair). I suppose we could duct tape 'em to the hood, but my son is quite squirmy, and would probably come loose.
We do plan on being there though, and look forward to seeing ya.

Hey Gang; looks like we are still on for bert diner in sheldon this saturday morning at bert diner at about 9 am.
I will go early and set out some cones for parking, after breakfast we will come by the farm to check things out and plan on when we would like to have a family outing here on the farm with all the other cobra owners.
If somone is not able to make the 9am breakfast come on by later, or if you get lost here is my cell number 916-799-5867 and we will try to get you here.
