6/18 Saturday breakfast

Hello everyone,

time to schedule another breakfast for Saturday 6/18. Somebody mentioned there is a good place in Auburn somewhere, any ideas?

See you,
Uwe

Hey Uwe,
I wonder if that someone who mentioned Auburn might have been thinking about the country club off Bell Rd. near the airport. We've been there in the past and there is a large parking lot there.

Duane,

it wasn't the airport, I think it was some coffee place around town

decooney 06-09-2011 06:26 PM

Hi Uwe,

Okay, just did a search. Looks like there are 61 Coffee places in Auburn. :JEKYLHYDE

If you find out which one, let us know.

Thanks for the help Duane!?!............how about 'Purple Place', that will make the search easier..............

Hey Guys,
Might have been Auburn Airport. We did that once. Also there is a newer Mel's on Hwy 49 that hs a private room. I think you met there once.

Ok, lets do 'Purple Place' in El Dorado Hills for breakfast at 9AM, just have to know how many show up and I will make reservations accordingly.
Then we can meet later after lunch at Bel Air in Folsom to surprise my friends Grand Opening of his new Mercedes-Benz repair shop 'Werkstatt' in Folsom. He has been taken care of my cars in the past and is an excellent trained Mercedes technician.
The plan is to gather everybody at 12:45 in the Bel Air/ East Bidwell/ Broadstone Pkwy parking lot and drive over together to his new shop (behind Home Depot) at 1PM. If we pull all together at the same time into his parking lot I know he will be surprised and shocked to see all this classic cars that will draw even more attention (lets make some noise....:). He is opening his new place and I know he can use all the support and promotion we can get him. It will be a surprise!

Thanks for your support!
Uwe

The spot near the airport in Auburn that you are thinking of is the Ridge Golf course.

Wherever we wind up, put me down for two (2), please.

Thanks Phil,
I already reserved tables on the front porch of 'Purple place' for 9AM.

Ok, everybody, little change in plans.....Sorry!
I got some messages from you guys that actually make sense; why not meet for late breakfast/lunch at Purple Place and then go direct from there over to the Mercedes Grand Opening to my friends shop at 1PM.
That way we don't have a two hour break in between the two places and we don't waste the whole day!
So let's meet at 11:30 at Purple Place.
Sorry about the confusion but it makes more sense.....I hope....:)

Uwe

Darn!! Once again I can't make it. What is going on here? My "other stuff" schedule somehow got shifted so that the third Saturday of the month is now filled with all kinds of "other stuff".
Count me out this time, but I'm determined to get my third Saturday back so I'll see you next time. ....I hope.:o
