Other Caravans? - send a note and I'll post it here.

This is a 30-day advance notice. Mark your calendars. The last time we did Ione a few years ago it was one of our largest breakfast turnouts in 15 years. We'll be starting one hour later this year to give those coming from afar a chance to meet up and drive out together to Ione and shoot the sh#@ a bit before we eat. More details and updates posted here once we hear back from ClayBoy on the arrangements. Check back Oct. 1st for more details.

REPLY HERE with "YES" and "# of guests" if you would like to attend. Bob will add your names to the guest list. Thanks. Hope to see you there.

Sounds like a plan, count Dan & Karen in - so two for breakfast. Perhaps we can do a drive after breakfast for those wanting to venture further. I'll think about a drive route. More on this later:cool: Dan

I'll be there with a passenger - so two, please.

I spoke with John Bellotti from "Caddy's Restaurant" at Castle Oaks yesterday.

His suggestion is to have a "breakfast buffet" featuring: eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, breakfast potatoes, french toast, orange juice, and coffee.

The usual breakfast buffet charge for events like golf tournaments, etc is $15. per person, for our group the charge would be $12.50 per person, which would include tax... tips would be each persons responsibility. The one stipulation is that they would like to bill us as a group rather than separate checks. If this is agreeable with everyone I will give him the go-ahead.

Thanks to Dan and Phil for your prompt responses. Everyone else please give me some indication of your intent so that I can keep a head count for the restaurant.
Thanks,
Bob :)

I know it's still early for some folks to post their intentions... that whole fear of commitment deal.
"What if I get a better offer?"

Oh, really... as if! I know you guys, this is your big chance for the month!

Think about it, what could be a better offer than a beautiful, crisp fall drive to Ione on country roads? Ain't nothin' better!

So far we have 14 attendees and 8 cars by my count... anyone else?
Bob

I'll meet you guys in Folsom but need to leave at 9am when you guys take off. Prior commitment.

I haven't posted in an awfully loooong time & re-registered, thus 1 post :-(

Anyways, the wife & I are in Galt & Ione is a beautiful drive for us, so count us in. The buffet sounds great!

That's a BIG YES! Two, please!

Clayboy 09-23-2011 07:02 PM

FFR5000,
Glad the two of you are going to make it on the 15th.

Venum 14,
The more the merrier! The last big meet-up at Castle Oaks was 24 cars... maybe we can top that this time.

Please cout me in, the Ione breakfast is always good, nice ride and usually a good turn out. I'm waiting to hear from some of the other guys in Elk Grove, but I"ll be there for sure, possibly with a passenger.

FFR 3099 09-29-2011 07:21 AM

Add another car, my buddy will be coming with his car, also. he was not sure about a passenger at this time.

pgermond 09-29-2011 09:48 PM

Bob,

I may have to forgo this one. My daughter is planning to move into a house I bought recently on the 15th...... although she may be getting ahead of herself. I won't know until a week before, but wanted to give you a heads-up. :(

Clayboy 09-30-2011 10:01 AM

Phil,
I understand... family has to come first. Hope you can make it, but if not we'll miss you.
If you do show up I will bring some eggs for Sandy.
Bob
