NorCal 3rd Saturday Breakfast - March 16th

To: NorCal Cobras friends,

As it turns out, with variable weather recently along with other car events going on March 16th, March 23rd, nothing formal or large has solidified this month for a NorCal "March" breakfast meetup. It's wide open for anyone who wants to set a place and time last minute. There are some things coming up in April or May. Would be nice to do another "Elk Grove" breakfast meetup in April like we did five years ago. Just wanted to put this out there for anyone wondering if there is a meetup this month or not.

MARCH 16th:
As far as I've heard, and with few asking, March 16th is still wide open for anyone who wants to chime in, pick a place and time. Any takers?, go for it!

Going for a drive afterwards?

roadrod2000 03-12-2013 08:55 AM

Duane
I've got a place in mind in Auburn. I need to check it out to see if it will work for our group. I'll post later today with the results.

roadrod2000 03-12-2013 11:10 AM

OK I checked it out and it looks good. The place is the Auburn Valley Golf Club address is 8800 Auburn Valley Rd ( come all the way up Bell and turn left) here's the website Auburn Valley Golf Club
They have a short term parking area in front of the main building we can use. The drive up is worth it alone but we could probably map out a drive afterwards.
If your in I need a head count a few days before.

Rod,

Sounds like a great destination, but I'm going to have to pass - we're headed west by north-west for several days. You guys have fun and I hope the weather holds for you.

decooney 03-12-2013 07:22 PM

Rod,
I will be there if I can but not sure yet. Slim chance, but if it works out somehow I'll be there. Have fun.

Patrick,
I'm thinking around 9:00 but could be a little later (or earlier) depending on who's coming from where, I know Auburn is a bit of a drive for most of us.

Danny Fong 03-13-2013 11:32 AM

Gonna miss another one. Will be in So Cal.

Have fun.... should be great Cobra weather......

Can now confirm two people in two Cobras. People count might increase soon as I hear back from some people.

Would it be possible to do 10 AM? One of the Cobras is coming from Winters.

Hey Guys....be aware that this is NOT at The Ridge Golf Course where we have gone a number of times. Check the map for directions, we all want to be at the same place! I am planning to be there, see you Saturday!

Igofastr 03-14-2013 09:54 AM

Last time I stopped at the Ridge Golf Course and checked they were not serving breakfast any more, so hopefully I didn't confuse anyone with the reference to Bell Rd (it goes right by the Ridge course) If you come in off 80 at Bell, stay on it till it ends (several miles of foothills driving) You should be at Lone Star (its not a normal intersection the road turns to the right and becomes Lone Star, but you can see the golf course on your left) take a left into the Auburn Valley GC property and stay on the main road till you see the clubhouse.

Jim Norris 03-14-2013 04:49 PM

Count me in!
See you there.

decooney 03-14-2013 07:16 PM

Rod,
I'm not sure I am going to be able to make the whole morning, but for some reason I can, are any of you guys meeting up beforehand somewhere? Possibly in Roseville or otherwise, before heading up Auburn Folsom road - or are you going straight up hwy 80?
