Sonoma brunch
Are any of you Sacramento area guys going to the brunch with the North Bay group this Sunday?

Hi Maurice,
Had not heard about it. I'm putting a new steering rack in my car, so most likely I won't make it. |
Hi Maurice,
Well, I hadn't planned on it, but it wouldn't take much to convince me if we took a nice scenic (eg: twisty) route. Are you going ? Ted |
Hi Phil,
Good to see you back in town. Bob said they will park in the square and have lunch at a local establishment. I would offer my skills with your rack, but I know you only want to do it once. Maurice |
Hi Ted,
I remember a few years back that we took 80 to the winters turn off and drove around Lake Berryesa ? and then on into Sonoma. The ride is pretty nice except the usual 80 traffic. I would like to go, especially if another Cobra or 2 comes along. Bob, from the North Bay Group did ask for a pm for a head count for the restaurant. Let me know Maurice |

Hi Maurice, Take 80 to 113N, turn left on Russell Blvd, West, head straight out. it turns in to 128. Pretty cool ride, recently did that ride again on the bikes. Forgot how nice it was. Wish I could go Sunday, Sonoma Square is nice. Have fun. |
Ted,
How about meeting at the last gas station, Standard I think, before the causeway in West Sac. at 8 to 8:15 am. Looking forward to seeing you again. Maurice |
Hi Duane,
I will miss trying to keep up with that blue beauty of yours. Maurice |
Maurice,
The steering rack removal and installation is almost complete. Depending how the alignment goes I "may" be able to meet up with you guys on Sunday. Sonoma is a fun drive! |
That would be great, my friend.

I know exactly where you're talking about. Have used that location as a meeting point for many motorcycle rides. See you there Sunday. Thanks, Ted |

Hope you get it dialed in. It would be great if you could join us. Ted |
Get er done Phil
|
Well, the good news is I got the rack installed, toe in set, and she goes down the road straight. The bad news is I'm running on 7-cyclinders. I was idling along and all of a sudden she started missing. Limped home and isolated it to #6 being the culprit. It's too hot to do anything with right now, so after she cools down I'll check the plug and wire. No noise so I don't think it is a valve..... just have to wait and see. Damn it!!!
|
The wire is good and the plug is good - I'm stumped.
|
Phil,
How do you know #6 is bad? i.e. pulling the wire on #6 while its running or did you do a compression check on #6? |
Pulled the wire.

How does the #6 plug look in comparison to other cylinders, color of the insulator etc? |
