2017 Toy Run...all warmed up and ready to go.
 

This is it, THE OFFICIAL TOY RUN ANNOUNCEMENT !

Dust off your caps, clean out your carbs, lube your axles…whatever it takes.

It’s time to round up some toys and join friends, new and old.

When: Saturday, 8 am, December 16

Where: First meet at Perko’s for breakfast (arrive 8 am-ish), then caravan over to Sutter Medical Center Sacramento (10:30 am)

What: Toys and Santa hats, and lot of ‘em!

As usual, the Hospital requests that we bring unwrapped stuffed animals, play doh, current movies/music, Fisher Price doctor kits, infant mobiles, rattles, crib toys…Remember, there are kids from infants to teenagers. But please, no guns, knives, swords, small balls or other choking hazards.

This year, Child Life has a specific request for DVDs. Following is a comprehensive list. If you choose to donate one, let me know so I can take it off of the list.

SPECIAL NOTE: WE WILL HAVE EXTRA HELP WITH PARKING, BUT WE'VE BEEN SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED TO LIMIT ENGINE NOISE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE (I know, party poopers).

Remember, this is a RAIN OR SHINE event!!! If it comes to it, you’ll be able to park in a covered garage, so your baby won’t get too wet (your wife might be able to stay dry too)

Just thought I'd add some written driving instructions:

Business 80 to N street exit. Stay in left lane, go two blocks to L street. Turn left under the freeway, and immediately turn left again on 29th and take an almost immediate left into the parking lot. Head up to the upper deck, and you will be guided to our reserved spaces. See you there.

BTW, John, I still don't have my car. But, I'll be driving directly from the event to the Bay Area with my trailer to pick it up...at long last. You're still welcome to drop by the house on the way, and we can caravan from there.

I'll leave a little early, about 7:30. I'll have to find a place to park the truck-trailer combo, and want to setup for pictures.

I'll try to make it by your house but if I'm not there when you are ready to go, go ahead and go. Don't wait for me. Also, if you want to leave your truck at perkos and ride with me to the hospital I can take you back to perkos after to get your truck.
