I just pulled the sidepipes off my Backdraft. Having mufflers installed next week. I would still be there! Would I still be welcome in a Vette?!

I'll be at Tom Lucas's shop all day on Friday and Saturday. If some of you want to drop by Tom's after breakfast, that would be great.
We will be changing from the Arkansas / Craft “crackle-cam” to the new custom Alabama / Bennett “baby-cam.” Should be interesting.
Talk soon, John

John,
You might want to retract that idea... Are you paying Tom by the hour, or by the job? Could wind up to be a long day and interesting bill for a cam swap if you get the chatter-box crew stopping by. Never know, with all the interruptions...that cam could end up at 0 rather than 4 degrees advance too. Hahahahahaha.
Maybe we can stop by after it's installed... let us know the ETA for fire-up!

Duane,
Don't worry. all the critical stuff should be done before the potential happenings of a peanut gallery converge. I'm hoping we can get the actual swap done Friday with buttoning up Saturday morning. I will try to keep Tom focused. The good news is I can keep working when he gets pulled away. I will put up a chain on Friday with a sign that says "sorry, no time to bull $hit today. Baby cam being installed!"
I’m heading out to the garage now to start pulling the motor down. I will keep you posted.
Wish me luck,
John

Billboy,
You racked up to strikes right out of the gate - you are having mufflers installed on your Cobra so you will have to drive the vette?

The car has straight through(as in NO muffler) side pipes! It was fun until a few of my neigbors showed up at my front door!!

John, I,m assuming you are going from wild to mild on your "bump stick". I have a KC 427 612HP. Too much for cruising. Going to install Rhoads lifters.
I know a lot of gearheads who swear by them. Your thoughts? Billyboy
